7 miles from Aspen-Pitkin County Airport, this contemporary ski resort at the base of Snowmass Mountain is a mile from both the Anderson Ranch Arts Center and the Snowmass Ice Age Discovery Center. Modern rooms with bright decor and wooden accents feature flat-screen TVs, Wi-Fi, minibars and coffeemakers, plus seating areas. Upgraded rooms add balconies (some with ski-in/ski-out access) and/or fireplaces. A resort fee includes continental breakfast, local and airport shuttles and access to the fitness center. A rustic-chic restaurant features local cuisine and regular live music. There's also a spa and two pools, plus hot tubs, a climbing wall and a ski and snowboard storage room. Pets are welcome and parking is available for a fee.
Star ratings are intended to indicate the general level of features, amenities, and services to expect. This property is classified according to Giata.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
From the first phone call to book the trip I received exemplary customer service. This hotel is only a few years old so it’s in beautiful condition with plenty of USB outlets! It was between seasons (October) so not many people in town or in the hotel. The hot tub is large and has a lukewarm pool next to it, both outside and surrounded by a frosted glass enclosure. There is a gym with machines and free weights. All beautiful. The shared spaces (poolside and lobby) are decorated with lime green, orange and pinks creating a fun and funky feel. The room was a deluxe king with a balcony (they upgraded us from a no-balcony room to one with a balcony, which I so appreciated.) The bathroom is large and beautiful—modern, double sinks and glass shower. It has a separate room with a door for the toilet, a feature I always appreciate in a hotel.
Most of the restaurants and shops were closing as it was the ‘tween season, but we found enough restaurants open, in a variety of price ranges. The restaurant at Limelight served breakfast included with the room and it was wonderful—hot food, bacon, eggs, potatoes and an oatmeal bar. Also pastries and croissants. Everything you could want. We also had dinner there and it was delicious.
Every person with the hotel was friendly helpful, happy, and interested in providing whatever we might need. The concierge was eager to help with restaurant options and had good advice.
I recommend this hotel!

Our visit started off with the wonderful Cristina at reception. We weren't sure which room would be best for us, and she explained the features in the different rooms and helped to get us a great room for our long stay. She was also very patient with us during the process. She is exceptional. We stayed in a luxury king room with a fireplace and a large balcony facing the gondola. I didn't think we'd use the fireplace in the summer, but we did and it was very cozy. The rooms are new and very well appointed. I liked having silverware and dishes in the room, especially during COVID as we ate in the room frequently. I also love that they have a dining table in the place of a traditional desk because it made eating in the room very comfortable. The bathroom is large and the shower water pressure was great. The breakfast is very convenient, but not quite as good as the breakfast in the Aspen location. The Aspen location has more hot food options and scrambled eggs every day which I think appeals to more people. Still very good though. I also liked the food in the restaurant for dinner - especially the brussels sprouts. The happy hour is also great value. The service throughout the hotel is great - very friendly and accommodating. We travel with our dog and I loved that the hotel is dog friendly and the staff was very affectionate to our pup. The area around the hotel is pristine. The shuttle to and from the airport is great. Taxis between Aspen and Snowmass are very expensive, so it was nice to have complimentary transportation. My favorite amenity in the hotel is the laundry room! We were able to stay in the hotel for almost two weeks because we had the option of doing laundry. It was superb. The machines were super clean and convenient.
Highly recommended! We will definitely be back! Thank you so much for the memorable stay!

We just spent a week in Snowmass at the Limelight and this was a fantastic hotel. The service was impeccable; the room was beautiful, clean and big and the hotel staff couldn't have been more accommodating. The hotel loaned my husband and son an EV car so they could replace a lost phone (after a ski wipe out) in Basalt CO. When I had to take a day off from skiing the concierge kindly loaned me snowshoes for a little excursion and he drove me to a hiking trail. The hotel has a great vibe; the lobby has great food and apres ski artisan pizzas, drinks, etc. The breakfast is included and it was an incredible spread every morning. It really was just a lovely stay with a staff that always made you feel at home; made us dinner reservations whenever we asked and answered any question. I would stay at any Limelight property after this. Also, they allow dogs, which really added character to the whole stay and made it seem homey. They also arranged our ski equipment so that was seamless when we arrived; it's ski in and ski out so you can store your equipment in the hotel. We just loved the Limelight and would definitely return!

Our room 406 had serious water distribution problems in both the shower and toilet. I made daily complaints and asked to speak to the manager Russ Croney who never contacted me during our entire stay. I asked for the appropriate financial compensation and the only answer I got was that they couldn't do anything other than pay for my parking because the purchase had been made through the Brazilian agency Explore Travel. Out of 7 days, 5 days were with serious water problems (to the point where there was a complete lack of water at the beginning of my youngest son's bath and the toilet didn't flush early in the morning without anyone using it for more than thirty consecutive minutes). I note that the service was terrible and until we checked out, Russ Croney was unable to give me any feedback despite messages I left daily on the front desk and on his corporate phone number. All the attendants listened, but nothing effective was done. Even formally recording the problem on the hotel's computer took more than a day. Engineer came to the room after two days, noted the problem, said he would speak to his boss at 3pm and that they would get back to me, which never happened. The only thing they did was send a plate of cheese and wine, which I returned personally to the reception, because there was no point without solving the problem and returning to the guests an estimated solution to the problem and due financial settlement for failure to provide the service. At no point did they offer to change rooms. On top of all this, there is a lack of any effective minimum kindness, to the point of denying a fistful of popcorn for my youngest son who was available on a cart in front of reception, saying that they were there exclusively for "Special guests". During our stay, the hot chocolate machine that would serve breakfast was broken and there was no alternative offer for children who wanted to drink hot chocolate with milk. . Breakfast was absolute chaos, without enough tables and seats to accommodate families. Strongly do not recommend! It's a horror and, unfortunately, we will only be able to resolve it through legal means, because they didn't even propose to deal with the problem effectively!

Do not use bookings to reserve a stay at this property. You will be treated differently. The hotel is run by college students and do not take their job or the customers satisfaction serious. Very poor value…. Our stay averaged $1000 per night but the hotel falls short of meeting that level of accommodations

Hello tsimoneaux01, Our apologies that we were not able to better assist you throughout your stay. Unfortunately with third party bookings we are limited on what we can and cannot do onsite. However, how we verbalize this and how we offer alternate solutions to better assist our guesst is of the utmost importance to us and it is unfortunate that we missed that opportunity during your stay. I have shared your feedback with our team, and we are actively coaching our teams on how we can be more accommodating and approachable during these situations. I am happy to connect personally, or should you like further assistance in the future, I can be reached at 970-924-5105. Thank you for sharing, Sandra

Besides a perfect location that is ski in/out, the staff is amazing. After having our flight diverted to Denver and having to drive 4 1/2 hours at night we were comforted by the front desk both on the phone while we were driving and upon reception. The entire stay we were treated with kindness and professionalism. This is a hotel who has trained their staff well and hires the best people from the front desk, shuttle drivers, restaurant servers and ski valet. The room was very nice and also very clean. We will come back here for sure!

I have never had to leave a review much less a bad review until now. Do not waste your time if you are trying to book a group event here. For the last 30 days we have been trying get a quote for a group stay for a wedding and have never received a call, email back, or acknowledgement from the group sales/event team. Since we have a group needing over 10 rooms the front desk has to direct these inquiries to the event team and can not book themselves. I have tried to reach the event team once a week, left messages (even the front desk was sending emails to event team to try and get a response to no avail). Side note: Everyone at the front desk were very polite and apologized. Every time the front desk tried to get us over to the event team no one ever answered (The front desk said the group sales/event team works from home and they never know when they are "in the office". If the group sales team will not provide service when you trying buy something, imagine how they will be when you host your event. My recommendation would be to stay away.

For starters I do not normally write reviews. Found Limelight through searching throughout the Aspen/Snowmass area and found it's amenities would be great with kids. From the moment we were greeted by the shuttle driver at the Aspen airport the customer service was superb. Our driver gave tips on things to do as well as what to expect and treat altitude sickness ( drink lots of water). Upon check in, the front desk staff was friendly and helpful with any and all information regarding our entire stay. Our room was spacious and the balcony overlooking the ice rink was breath taking. Each room offers a good size table that was beneficial since indoor dining was closed during our stay. Tv has casting abilities making it great for kids to watch what they wanted while we had some downtime. The staff was nice enough to bring us to the grocery store to stock up on some items to keep in our room. Housekeeping goes above and beyond even washed some dishes I left in the sink one day. It has been an amazing experience. Highly recommend. I can't wait to come back next year!

My husband and I planned a trip to Colorado for our 25th anniversary and we chose to stay in Snowmass for two nights because of its proximity to Aspen and hotel rooms were much less expensive . The hotel was trendy and clean (but not too modern for us empty nesters). Staff members were extremely helpful and there was a goodie bag in our room with treats in it when we arrived and we also received a delivery of chocolates and strawberries for our 25th anniversary. We felt welcomed and valued as customers. The included breakfast was plentiful and appeared to satisfy most dietary requirements. The menu varied a bit each day. We enjoyed the live music on Sunday night and saw many families/groups of travelers enjoying the living room area and outdoor lounge area. We also appreciated the availability of the laundry facilities. I highly recommend this property.

Great stay. Room was big and comfortable. The hotel has a good location in Snowmass Village. Breakfast was VERY good. In October, we received the State of Colorado residents’ rate, which entitled us to free breakfast and parking. Room was very quiet. Hotel is very well maintained. No complaints whatsoever!
