Family/Friends ski trip. First time in Salida and Browns Canyon Inn Hotel. Great experience. Friendly staff. Great, helpful, amazing owners. Clean rooms. Lots of choices for continental breakfast, my 12 and 14 yr old very satisfied. Great tasting coffee. Beautiful surrounding mountain views. Close to Salida Dowtown 5 min, and Monarch Ski mountain 25 min. Highly recommend this hotel. We...

We arrived without reservations and were lucky to find this gem. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas, carols playing in the lobby. The craftsmanship in the decor is artfully done and very fitting. The room was clean and affordable. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was included and we enjoyed meeting other travelers in the hot tub. A very enjoyable...

My husband and I had to leave the high mountains during a storm because I had developed a severe case of altitude sickness. We ended up here because it was lower in altitude and easier for me to handle. For the price, we were satisfied. The breakfast area is extremely small so tables are limited but it's cute. Breakfast was...

I had read some of the recent reviews and came into my trip with some minor ambivalence. I found this hotel to be nothing of what the negative reviews stated, and I realized two things. 1. Some people just can't be satisfied and 2. No,...this is not the Ritz....it a mountain town hotel with a very mountain feel. With my...

First you should know I am a stickler for cleanliness. I have stayed here twice and it has been CLEAN. I always read the terrible reviews about hotels first. I will tell you this hotel is privately owned and very well kept. Yes, they do accept pups, one room set aside and it doesn't smell like dogs and it was...

We had a whole group of couples doing a fall Harley ride. We booked here and we're very pleasantly surprised about the quality of the rooms and friendliness of the staff. You never know what to expect when you book these but we were happy that we ended up here.

The rustic décor of the lobby was wonderful! The room was clean and comfortable, the managers were very friendly, and, in the evening, the smell of coffee in the lobby was enticing (but, he said it wasn't decaf, so I didn't drink any). The breakfast was more than adequate. We stayed two nights. The location is very convenient for visiting...

We found this hotel to be adequate. Our room was clean and that's really important. We found the beds to be comfortable. We would recommend getting a room that doesn't face the main road if any traffic noise bothers you. There is no elevator, laundry, ice machine or soda machine so plan accordingly. Breakfast was the usual affair. Coffee good,...

Very clean, updated room. Quiet, comfortable, with excellent breakfast. Lovely western touches in the decor. The price is much better than other hotels that can't possibly offer any better experience. Have stayed at some very poor hotels in recent months, and this was a very welcome change -- management and staff obviously care about providing quality at a great value....

This is a smaller hotel (used to be a Days Inn). The hosts are very friendly. The rooms are very comfortable and clean . . . comfy beds, nice linens, lots of pillows. The morning breakfast had some protein and fresh fruit along with the usual yogurt and bread/sweets. We were especially happy given the affordable price.
