We originally had reservations in Dolores but cancelled because it was not clean and tidy. The Rico Hotel was a blessing. They had a room where pets were allowed and we were pleased with every aspect. It is an older building so the rooms were not soundproof but it wasn't a serious issue. We had an amazing meal in their...

This was our second "girls trip" to the Rico Hotel. Every time it gets better and we plan to come back twice a year as a ritual. The staff is always helpful, rooms are clean and comfortable, laid back, yet efficient. The restaurant is first class fare and such a special place to dine. The filet mignon is the best...

We nearly drove right by this wonderful hotel in the middle of nowhere. Sure glad we didn't. The food was to-die-for and the room was the deluxe with extremely comfy beds. The staff were so wonderful and the service great. So glad we dropped in... would have loved to stay longer. A diamond in the rough!

The hotel is old and funky. The room was adequate, and the bed was very comfortable. It is a very easy-going place, where you walk to the kitchen to look for the proprietor, if you can't find him in the office. The breakfasts were great, and the food at the Argentine Grill is excellent. Rico itself is so beautiful, and...

My Husband and I stayed two nights in the Rico hotel this past weekend with our dog, Lola. We found the customer service at the hotel and in the town of Rico to be more than Exceptional. If you are looking for a laid back vacation, it is quiet, beautiful, and everyone is friendly! The dinner at the hotel restaurant...

Outstanding mountain lodge. Service was excellent. Over 90 years old, but clean and beautiful. Breakfast buffet will blow your socks off!! Food is excellent in the restaurant Argentine Grill which is part of the lodge. The whole area is replete with hiking and mountain biking trails through beautiful pine and aspen forests with lots of running streams and rivers. This...

This was a charming historic hotel. We had dinner in the Argentine Grill--excellent food! --associated with the hotel. Our night was quiet--a peaceful mountain town. The next morning we took an early walk in the crisp mountain air, then came back to a delicious breakfast (frittata, fresh fruit, breakfast breads)--served in the rustic lobby. We wished we had more time...

Chef and host Eamonn O'Hara, prepares amazing meals, serves them with friendliness, and does a terrific job as host. Our room was comfortable, quiet and clean, and we would stay again. The dinner and breakfast were outstanding.

this hotel is south of Telluride. It offers a great value and the restaurant is very nice. The overall all feel is rustic, but it is a clean, simple hotel in a beautiful part of the states. There is a breakfast that is included and you have a hot tub on property as well.

If you are looking for a nice place to stay on your way into southern Colorado, or a destination in itself, the Rico Hotel offers reasonable room rates with the added bonus of exceptional food. For less than $80, I was able to get a comfortable room which included a gourmet breakfast. The restaurant offers amazing cuisine, it is worth...
