I have to thank Narelle and Bill for the most friendly and warmest hospitality. Such a beautiful setting overlooking the lake. Such a shame I couldn't stay longer. I feel that I'm part of their family the way I was treated.

Plans changed for our trip as the owner would be out of town. Good communication beforehand gave us the option to cancel, but we declined. So we were upgraded to the lake view room and had the whole house to ourselves and vouchers for breakfast at a local cafe. All is top quality in this B&B. We smiled on entering...

We stayed for one night and found it ticked all the boxes for the perfect getaway. ....Simply the best!!! Narell and Bill were called away at short notice but still ensured every comfort was provided.

Generous hospitality and kindness met us from the first minute to when we had to leave this relaxing and re-energising oasis by Lake Macquarie. The history of the naval airbase and its significance in WWII and the local eateries made it for a great weekend away from the hustle and bustle. Thank you for making our time such a pleasure.

Beautiful location, accommodation, friendly and helpful host and delicious breakfast. My husband and I were in need of a break and even though it rained both days the room was comfortable and the view relaxing. Will definitely go back again. Eating out has it limitations in the area on Tuesday nights.

A picture perfect location delivering a 'wow factor' the minute you walk inside. The view across the lake is stunning and this property has direct access to the water. The building has a wall of glass to take full advantage of the view. Inside, there is a soft subtle decor and it is immaculately clean. Wonder friendly hosts provide a...

Fantastic, beautiful, relaxing, there really aren't enough superlatives for the boat house. Narelle and Bill really looked after us. Breakfast was incredible. We'd like to live here. Even better than the photos.

“THe front room which has a spa bath and balcony overlooking the lake is lovely. So is the room right on the water front which is extremely private, peaceful and relaxing.”

“If you book the Boat Cottage be aware there are about 25 steps down from the main house and what could be a bit of a hike back up for the elderly or those with mobility restrictions. Access to other rooms is pretty much on the level.”
