The Motel is on the older side, but is clean. Mini Frig in the room. WiFi. I have stayed here in the Winter to ski at Wolf Creek and in July to go hiking. The motel is in walking distance to great restaurants like Kip's (Mexican Food) or The Alley House (Fancy). The Springs are nearby and are a wonderful...

We broke down in our RV leaving Durango and on our way to Trinidad at the bottom of Wolf Creek Pass outside of Pagosa Springs. We booked a room at the San Juan Motel. I was so pleased with their flexibility as we had five in our party: my wife and I plus our 10 year old daughter and two...

On road trips, my wife and I have a policy to spend less than $100 for a hotel room. We always opt to see the rooms first. We viewed rooms at San Juan and across the street. We felt San Juan had better karma. We stayed in room 36, which faces the highway on the east end of town. After...

We stayed here for one night while on a road trip of 7 days ... we paid $100 for 4 people to stay here ...i can safely say this property would rank 7 in our list ... the property was highly over priced for what it offered .... it is very basic and you should not expect anything much ......

Grounds, location, and staff were great. Cabin #2's heater wasn't working at arrival. Staff brought a space heater in. Once a group arrived to stay in the adjoining cabin (#1) the power went out 5 times and we had to keep flipping the breaker box ourselves throughout the night, every time we tried to turn the space heater on the...

I really want to give the San Juan Motel a good rating, but the noise coming through the connecting door to the adjoining room was totally unacceptable. The mattress was firm but not hard, probably going to need to be replaced soon. Decent enough. The room was spacious, very clean and in good condition. Unlike the First Inn across the...

This is the third year we have enjoyed this quaint cabin getaway. We just love it! It's been a perfect fit for us. It's a bit rustic yet clean and our cabin has recently been redone. The staff is amazingly friendly. The hot tub hits the spot every night. The location is awesome, as we walked to Kips Cantina, our...

When I travel alone I tried to find the cheapest place within walking distance of the most attractions. The San Juan Motel was relatively inexpensive compared to nearby hotels, and it was within walking distance to some very nice restaurants, bars, and liquor stores. The room itself was small, but clean and well appointed in rustic cowboy style. I had driven...

I have stayed here before in the winter as it is close to Wolf Creek and you don't have to drive through town to get there. Anyway, really enjoyed the location as I could walk to town since it was late summer and the weather was warm. Taking parking out of the equation in downtown Pagosa always lets me relax...

Passing through Pagosa Springs on a motorcycle tour through Colorado, we just needed a place to stay for the night. I read all the reviews of this terrible place prior to booking, and even though I knew better, I went ahead and made the reservation. I equate "rustic" with "old" and this place is certainly both. We asked for a...

I was fully expecting this review as the previous one was pulled from Trip Advisor since it did not stay within their guidelines. It does remain a mystery as to why you had the problem that you are referring to and our housekeepers did not find it in advance and we greatly apologize for that and I was happy to...
