Let me preface this by saying that I have never really been tent camping (tried once but left after one day). I found this place randomly on the Internet and decided to give it a shot. I called to make reservations and the woman answering the phone was very friendly and helpful. Pulling in the ranch I was awestruck! It...

We have been coming here for years. If you want a quiet place away from it all this is the place. Book really early. The cabins are always clean and the regulars that that stay all summer keep campground clean. It is rustic! There is a bath house that is clean. Cabins have cold water and heat is from a...

We rode horses out of Bruce Spruce Ranch. Friends of ours owned it at the time and they made sure we had a great time. Beautiful scenery and wildlife. Our guide told us stories of Wolf Creek Pass from the past.

My family and I have been going to Bruce Spruce for about 16 + years. Our last visit was this June with our son and his wife. We stayed in the FRITZs cabin. We loved this cabin. Like many other reviews said this is not the Hilton but that is why we love it so much. Nestled in the back...

This was ur first trip to this area of Colorado. We brought our vintage Airstream. We were attending a Tin Can Tourist Rally. This place is amazing! Super friendly owners, and the RV sites were awesome! We had full hookups, and the sites were large. The scenery is unbelievably gorgeous. This is now one of our favorite RV parks. Having...

Stayed here over the Labor Day weekend in the Flicker Cabin... Loved it. The cabins are very rustic. Our bathroom (toilet only) was on the covered porch. Very unique. The cabin for fully furnished, beds, table, frig, stove - everything you needed to cook with. The cabin was heated by a wood stove. Kept the cabin warn over the rainy...

First off, let me say, if you're the type of person who would shudder at a cabin with no hot water, sloped floors and a chipped sink, stop right now and look elsewhere. Now, for those of you who would find all of the above part of the charm of staying in a cabin originally built in the early 1900's,...

We had camped/picnicked in the national camp behind Bruce Spruce in the past so on a last minute whim called to see if my daughter and I could get a cabin. They had a cancellation - yay! - and we were able to book a one night stay in a one room cabin. Checked in and parked right in front...

I have been coming to Bruce Spruce Ranch with my wife's family for 5 years now, and it's so calming, relaxing, and peaceful...unless you're playing volleyball! :) There are different cabins in this little "village" if you will, or options to bring a tent or RV. All cabins have a toilet, some with a sink in the bathroom, some not....

I am hearing that some of you are cancelling your reservations at Bruce Spruce due to the West Fork Fire. Please reconsider! We have been here since June 22 (Saturday) when the danger was imminent. To the point that folks in Pagosa were telling us that Bruce Spruce was already evacuated! Not true - but there were some BIG mixups,...
