This is my first time staying here, and it was more than perfect! The house is beautifully de orated and maintained, as are the grounds. Valerie is more accommodating than any inn keeper I've ever been involved with, Andi travel a lot! The breakfasts every morning are beautiful and tasty. The room I stayed in with a king bed, is...

This lodge is beautiful and well maintained. However, if planning an outside wedding/reception there, please inquire about back up plans for bad weather. The wedding service was lovely and in a beautiful location, but the reception and dinner that followed were not due to bad weather that developed. The sides of the tent, where the reception took place, should have...

August in Colorado is Monsoon season we are sufficiently prepared with a tent having all four sides. At the outset there were complaints from the correspondent that it was TOO HOT we were asked to remove the sides of the tent. Two walls of the tent were removed which was fine until a violent storm erupted during the serving of...

I recently enjoyed a 2 week stay in one of the barn rooms. Safe, quiet and comfortable for the independent traveller; (refrigerator, microwave,TV,maid service optional) it was a pleasant retreat from the hustle and bustle of the town. Hosts Valerie and Ron were very accommodating and helpful, and made for a memorable visit.

My wife and I spent a week in a studio above the "barn" and had a great time at an incredible price. The owners were fantastic and very helpful. They checked on us periodically as we walked the grounds with our dog and gave us advice when we asked. Their dogs are very friendly and took care of our little...

When I reserved the available studio apartment for a week over what Valerie called "the barn," I was charmed by her welcoming attitude and lovely British accent. I had been told that the lodge rooms all had a common balcony and the rooms had no locks on the doors. As a single woman, I chose the studio because I could...

Dear Lyda, I am so very sorry that you were not satisfied with your stay. The people left in charge during my absence, the man is NOT my husband he is no relation, were trying to do their job. The Barn Studios are just that, they are not luxury accommodation and therefore are usually rented by students or by people...

We arrived at the lodge tired from a day of hiking, to find a complementary bottle of wine waiting in our room. Valerie, the owner, is very friendly and helpful, and truly cared about our comfort. Since the temperature was expected to be quite cool that night, she put a space heater in our room, just in case we got...

Having discussed it a lot since, we cannot put our finger on just one reason why it was such a fantastic place, because everything about it was truly excellent. The staff are so friendly, especiialy the owner, the views take your breath away and the whole place is spotless. We have never returned so refreshed from a break, absolute tranquility!...

We went here for a wedding this summer. The grounds were well kept and the views were beautiful! The weird thing was that there were over 150 people and only like 3 people helping. The bartender/server/grounds keeper, Ron, was kinda creepy. He watched everyone like we were trespassing and told us we "could not walk around the grounds" before the...

The most outstanding feature of the Canyon Crest Lodge is the service you will receive from the hosts. We arrived very late one evening, with a last minute reservation while traveling on business. The proprietors of Canyon Crest Lodge were gracious at every turn of our whirlwind visit. Thank you very much!
