Great breakfast, comfortable rooms (ours had just been renovated) and Marie-Josée really puts her heart and soul into everything there. Don't expect Versailles, though - it is a country estate, but hey... it's a castle!!!
This was a wonderful find! We wanted to visit the D Day landing sites and thought that this would be a good base. We were right! Just a short walk or off road bike trip and you are at Pointe Du Hoc which is a really great monument to visit with children. You are also close to other D Day museums and beaches by car. The chateau is beautiful, spacious rooms, one of the best showers I've had and really lovely views of the cows. We had a room for 5 (2 adults, 3 children) and there was lots of space for us all. The breakfast was very good and our host very friendly.
My sisters and I were fortunate enough to find this wonderful place to stay! We had a room on the first floor (which means the second story). It was a large room with an adjoining room with two twin beds. The room was so nice and the beds were comfortable. We had a nice view out front of the property, and out back of the dairy cows! There was a wonderful breakfast provided. Our only regret is that we didn’t book it for more than one night!!
I visited Normandy with my better half in May 2019. The house/castle is beautiful, the room was amazing; very clean, big, had everything we needed. Breakfast was a selection of cheeses, pastries, breads, yoghurt, jams, orange juice, fresh coffee with hot milk from her very own cows! Location was superb for us. Right next to Point du Hoc, not far from Grandcamp Maisy. The house sits on the coastal road which can take you from Insingy-sur-mer to the British/Canadian beaches so it is really easy to get everywhere. Would highly recommend. Marie was a super host!
Anxious to visit the Normandy beaches in the best conditions, we discovered this lovely chateau which was rated highly in the French guides... Marie-José Beck and her husband offer superb accommodations, impeccable rooms which are fully equipped, a delicious and generous breakfast and a magnificent environment. The chateau is a short walk to the famous ranger monument and a easy drive to the other cemeteries and monuments.
