There are so many things that could be just perfect with this homey B&B just up the hill from the Cliff House Hotel. The decor is very pleasant in the rooms, the bed is truly excellent (a King Size Sleep Number Bed in our cottage with individual heating) and the location is basically unbeatable. Unfortunately, B&B turns out to be...

My wife and I spent a night in the Garden Cottage, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is very nicely decorated, quiet, clean, well maintained, and fully supplied. It's "cozy". John, the innkeeper, is a very personable guy, and knows the area very well. He can give you plenty of ideas and point out all the good spots to...

My husband, brother-in-law, friend, and I stayed in the Garden Cottage from June 28-30. It was a great place for us- three full bedrooms, living room, and full kitchen (stocked for cooking needs). It would have been nice to have two bathrooms, but there was only one. The interior design of the cottage is shabby chic. It definitely gave the...

We expected a cute, vintage, victorian cottage. What we got was a cottage that was more shabby than chic. Not only were the doorknobs loose and the screens torn, but the entire cottage was dirty. I mean really dirty!!! The cottage had cobwebs in the corners and the bathroom sink was disgusting. The decor was beautiful and decorating was perfect,...

Every moment of the experience at Agate Hill was wonderful! From my first phone call to the Bed and Breakfast I knew I would be in good hands. The Hummingbird Cottage was described to me over the phone in very accurate detail. John, the owner, asked me what I was looking for and helped find the best fit for our...

We stayed at the Agate Hill for my birthday. We booked the Garden Cottage. We noticed it "smelled" funny imediately upon entering. Sort of an old musty smell. The parking situation was bad - not for anyone who drives a large vehicle or truck. The bed upstairs was a select comfort bed. My husband and I both thought it was...

Very lovely gardens, clean, nice walking distance to dinner and shops, delicious breakfast!! Sleep number beds are the best while renting a place you are unfamiliar with as well.

On the positive side, it's clear that the gardens are where the owner's heart lies. They are gorgeous. On the negative -- I was expecting Nantucket and it was more like Maine summer camp: loose door handles, tiny enclosed porch made over into a bedroom, one wastebasket for the whole first floor, vines rioting through the window into the bedroom....

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Agate Hill Inn cottage. There are three attached cottages and a beautifully restored victorian home on the property off of a quiet residential street, walking distance from main street. The cottages share a long beautiful porch with rocking chairs overlooking a fantastic picture perfect flower garden. Our cottage had 2 bedrooms, a sitting...

Agate Hill Inn is a wonderful place to stay in the Pikes Peak area. Wonder cottages situated in lovely gardens with moutain views. The breakfasts that Chef Ken creates wonderful. The innkeepers have a fantastic knowledge of the area. We have stayed twice, and will visit again!
