I stayed at the Delaware Hotel in Leadville, on MLK weekend this year. The rooms are fairly small but well maintained and very charming. The floors were a little squeaky, but what do you expect from a120 year old building! The free breakfast had a lot of choices. The downtown location is fantastic, an easy walk to many local restaurants...

First, the good! Leadville seems to be a really cool town, especially if you are interested in mining history and the like. The staff were really friendly! The not so good... The beds were SO uncomfortable. I woke up one morning with a pain in my back, and another morning with a pain in my neck. The mattresses "slanted" down...

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Delaware Hotel while snow shoeing in the area. The hotel has maintained it's historic charm with beautiful antique furnishings. The bed was comfy with high end sheets and bedding. There are stairs to climb which are somewhat steep. The continental breakfast was marginal at best. Our only complaint is that the...

The Delaware lobby is largely an antique shop with some very quirky items along with more traditional ones. The hotel is old and in the Historic District in Leadville. The rooms have high ceilings and eclectic mostly antique furniture. The hotel was renovated so that each room has a shower. The water temperature fluctuated widely (but not unexpected for such...

This is a historic hotel, which although it's been renovated to provide modern comforts, is still old. The floor in our room was comically uneven, the stairs (no elevator!) are steep, etc. It's a fun walk down memory lane, if you're into that sort of thing. In the heart of Leadville, this hotel is walking distance to several bars and...

Leadville has the most stunning 360 degree view of the Colorado 14ers... our reason for staying in Leadville! The Delaware Hotel is a classic genuine western hotel and a vast Victorian museum at 10,000 feet. Our room was clean and comfortable, and small but manageable with necessary basics. Both the staff and other guests were helpful in negotiating the stairs...

This hotel has a lot of character and was a perfect basecamp for hiking our first 14er. The floors are creaky and so you will hear people around you but the rooms are cozy and inviting. We will go back!

Delaware Hotel is really both a Hotel and a Museum. It is totally unique due to the efforts of a singular lady. We just happened to be there on the night they were having a celebration of her life as the recently passed away founding spirit of the revived hotel (it was indeed a little weird). Delaware Hotel is the...

Beautiful and well-kept hotel with excellent staff service! It was a lovely stay in a relaxing atmosphere. Delaware Hotel is also a museum, with priceless antiques lining the corridors, many of which are for sale. Smaller antiques are available in the gift shop and a cozy library is welcoming on the second-floor. Self-serve breakfast had a good variety, with coffee,...

The hotel is the oldest continuously operating hotel in Colorado, so they tell me. The rooms are furnished with fabulous antique furniture and fixtures. The gift shops are loaded with memorabilia as well as victorian era clothing, native american art and a wide selection of jewelry. One of the most interesting stops in Leadville.
