Less than an hour from Denver is Idaho Springs. In the center of this cozy enclave is The Miners Pick BnB. Three nicely decorated rooms with private baths as well as a cozy common area is the layout of this gem. Vicki, the owner is the perfect hostess. She makes you feel at home and has a wealth of information...

Special as you can get with icing on the cake. Home made blueberry pancakes! A clean welcoming environment and comfertable to boot. Not your typical bed and breakfast. Within walking distance from everything in Idaho Springs.

This was a reasonably priced, lovely place to stay in this interesting little town. Vicki is the owner and her house is beautiful! She is very welcoming and the breakfast she prepares is outstanding! Reflecting her Swedish heritage, she made swedish crepes with lingonberry butter, sausage and cantelope. Delicious! There are 3 rooms, each with a private bath, upstairs and...

After a long day of airports and rental cars and such, I arrived at the Miners' Pick for one night. What a soothing experience! I loved the calm decor of the Placer Room and the wonderful sitting area. Vicki is a great hostess and cook (Swedish pancakes for breakfast!) and was very helpful with route suggestions and anything else needed....

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Miners Pick. The rooms are comfy and private, the décor welcoming and the food wonderful. Vicki has a knack for hospitality! A block away are plenty of fun shops to visit, and a plethora of great restaurants!

I did my research to find a great place close to Georgetown (since they were all booked) and found this little gem. We really enjoyed our stay. This two story house is set up with owner living downstairs and three rooms all with private baths upstairs. There is also a common room with a television (rooms do not have TVs)....

The woman who runs this place is very nice and accommodating. I was in town for one day and I had to go to sleep very early and she got my room ready very quickly. Room was nice and cozy! Would stay here again when I am back in the area. Great location as well. Tucked between the river and...

My husband and I stayed here on our wedding night, on our way to Fraser for our honeymoon. Vicki was wonderful about accommodating the fact that we arrived after midnight, and the Quarry room was comfortable and beautifully decorated, with a modern and very nice ensuite bathroom. We were met with a surprise bottle of champagne and some fresh chocolate-dipped...

Title says it all, really. Hadn't any great expectations for Idaho Springs as at first it appeared to be a strip town alongside the freeway. In reality however it has a pleasant Victorian town centre with a selection of interesting shops, restaurants, and museums. The Miner's Pick is situated just off the main street and is clean, comfortable and welcoming;...

Really enjoyed my brief stay. I can't say enough good things about Vickie and her lovely home. She's a wonderful host and so knowledgeable about the area and Colorado in general. The house was warm, inviting, and spotlessly clean. Location was perfect for me: Idaho Springs has good food/drink/coffee choices and is right at the intersection of 70 and the...
