We bring our horses and camp a couple of times a summer for the past 11 years and love it. The views from the campsites are breath taking. Winding River has something for everybody, young and old. The western outdoor pancake breakfast every Sunday is very good and fun for all.

Nice ranch style property with camping and individual lodges (we took a deal on the largest and turned out to be a newer large double wide with a lodge style look) ... was a summer trip to the area (July) ... not a lot to do on the property but a beautiful area of the country ... the national park...

This is an expanded campground with cabins for rent, snowmobiles in the winter and sleigh rides. In the summer the place is very busy with horse rides, ATV rentals, miles of hiking trails and a great weekend pancake breakfast. They have showers and RV hookups, and the small office stocks minimal food supplies. Near Rocky Mountain National Park and all...

We saw beautiful fall colors at our campsite. The dirt roads were great for us and our grandchildren to bike on, and the beautiful Colorado River running around it provided exploration. Even though it snowed the second day, the snow melted quickly. Across from the entrance, we visited the Keewaneche Visitor's Center, a gem!

This resort is just neat! They have everything you can think of on the property! Want to camp and bring your own horses? You can do that! Want to bring your camper and use their horses? Sure you can! Want to just set up a time to take a leisurely trail ride into RMNP or around the area? Yep! How...

We first went to Winding River, over Father's Day weekend. Every other campground in Grand Lake had no vacancy and we were able to get in from a cancellation. We went from Friday to Sunday and just didn't feel it was enough time. There are so many fun things to do there- fish, animal farm, pet the horses, ice cream...

We stayed at the resort in the Winchester Cabin for a week in August and couldn't have been happier. The cabin is absolutely beautiful with so many cute decorations and the gas stove was an added perk. We had damp weather a few days so the full kitchen worked out perfectly. The kids love the basketball court, playground and especially...

This is the second time we have taken a family vacation at Winding River Resort. The staff is great and there is a lot of things to do there, from horseback riding to atv rentals. We had an RV site as well as the Winchester cabin which was fantastic. The grounds are kept very neat. The only drawback is that...

This facility is quite huge, which means that you won't be real cramped and have (some) room for privacy. Some sites have full hooks up (electricity, water, sewer), others only have electricity & water, while some are dry (none of the above). There are even sites with corrals for horses. The campground also features rental cabins, nice showers, ATV/UTV/Snowmobile rental...
