Wanted lodging out of the touristy bustle. This 1920 lodge sits above Grrand are and is adjacent to an overgrown trail into the Rocky Mountain Natioanal Park. Rustic duplex cabin was cozy, although a couple of noisy nights with rowdy guests required earplugs.

We stayed only one night, because our short trip was on a whim. It is located high above the lovely town of Grand Lake just outside the Rocky Mountain National Park boundary. You can walk into Grand Lake from here….but it pretty steep walk back...More
