An old hotel with few dozens of cabins spread over a hill with beautiful view of surrounding mountains and Grand Lake. Perfect location for hiking in Rockies NP if you fancy a hot shower on comfortable bed after a day or more in the wild. Note that the wild extends to the hotel properties, with moose wandering throughout the parking...

Wanted lodging out of the touristy bustle. This 1920 lodge sits above Grrand are and is adjacent to an overgrown trail into the Rocky Mountain Natioanal Park. Rustic duplex cabin was cozy, although a couple of noisy nights with rowdy guests required earplugs. Pool and hot tub were welcome amenities follow the hiking. Had one meal at the lodge. Arrrived...

Great place for relaxing, sitting on the porch for meals overlooking Grand Lake, hanging out in the lobby area sitting on a swing or wooden chair around the circular fire pit, having a drink while killing time before a meal , watching wildlife mosey on by (saw grey fox on front lawn between lodge and small pool) and getting your...

We stayed only one night, because our short trip was on a whim. It is located high above the lovely town of Grand Lake just outside the Rocky Mountain National Park boundary. You can walk into Grand Lake from here….but it pretty steep walk back up. They do not have any rooms in the lodge itself, but have many various...

We spent two nights in a small (bed, sofa, dresser, and bathroom) lodge at Grand Lake. The views from the Main Lodge are unsurpassed as well as the drive to get here. Mornings began with a fire in the huge enclosed fire pit in the Main Lodge, and after dinner time involved time in the pool and hot tub or...

This was our last night at the end of a week-long trip. It was great to again stop at Grand Lake Lodge, at the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park, as a way to finish off our trip. The quiet cabins behind the lodge are nice - not modern, but well furnished. This grand old log lodge has dining on...

We hike often at Rocky Mountain Park, and this year we decided to stay on the west side for several days to hike, and then move to the east side and stay there to finish. We have suddenly realized after many trips, the west side is so much more peaceful, with a lot less people. There's also more animals to...

This beautiful stop nestled in the mountains and hidden under the Aspens was the absolute best segment of our vacation. The buffet was, yes, better and more reasonably priced than the Four Seasons. (We will return for just the food) ... The staff was so nice and pleasant, they made us feel like we were long lost relatives. What a...

We stayed in a tiny cabin with one queen bed and a pull out couch. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was new and clean. My daughter was cold on the pull-out so you might consider asking for an extra blanket (or two) when checking in. The real reason to stay here though isn't the cabins; it's the scenery....

First time staying under new ownership and found it a struggle to get the desk clerk on the phone to be pleasant when making reservations. The cabins have had the bathrooms upgraded thankfully, but I'm not sure how a man could go to the bathroom standing seeing the sink is way too close to the stool. I think they'd have...
