We stayed for one night with our family at this location. It is located just a couple blocks from the downtown/river market area, which was nice to be able to walk to for dinner. There was a lot of noise in our room from neighboring rooms and commotion outside. The beds were average at best. We really enjoyed the breakfast setup at this location. It definitely offered more variety and higher quality than most mid-range chains. The room was good for one night's stay, but I wouldn't recommend a long-term stay here unless you don't mind noise.
I travel a LOT, and this is the first hotel I’ve ever stayed at where there wasn’t a feather-free pillow in the entire hotel (or at least a front desk worker who calls housekeeping to help hunt one down). My options are to go out and buy my own pillow or just be miserable and unable to breath for the next two days? Its a very common allergy to have which is why most hotels are extremely accommodating. I’m really shocked at the lack of options but also the unwillingness to even help a guest out.
Staff is very friendly! Rooms are comfortable and clean. However, noise can be an issue. Older construction, so unaware guests that yell or talk loudly in hallways can be heard. I have been woken up out of a dead sleep many times at night due to noises in hallway.
La Quinta was our 1st choice of accommodations.. Its in a great location with easy access to downtown by foot for dinner and breakfast. Ride the Rockies bicycle race was in town the same time and hardly knew it was going on
We were supposed to have a quiet room, which I requested when I booked the hotel two months before we traveled. But when we got there, our room had been given to someone else.We arrived two hours past check in, so 5:00 p.m. All the staff could do was change our room, which was facing the interstate and very noisy, to a room across from the elevator. Also unacceptable. Needless to say, I didn’t get any sleep and it ruined my birthday.
Great location. Overall easy access, and close to many amenities. It is always good to have a nice hot meal before you hit the road. The meal here was a little better than most, And with a family, that was very important. Keep up the good work
After driving a Uhaul truck through the Rockies and getting into an accident that evening, I was exhausted. The service and hospitality provided by all the staff at La Quinta, especially of the receptionist Jennifer, was just what I needed to recharge and get back on the road.
I was on a long road trip to Missouri. This was probably one of the best stops I had ever made. It was in a beautiful area, high quality rooms at a great price. The staff were very friendly and there was not only an excellent restaurant next-door but there was a gas station across the street.
My wife and I have gone on many trips and by far the treatment we received here was phenomenal. Sarah and Jodee were at the front desk and both greeted us in a very positive way and were extremely helpful. La Quinta has some gem employees with those two. If I had a hotel I would be trying to poach them to come to my chain! Absolutely the best customer service we’ve received at a hotel.
This hotel is clean and updated. A full breakfast was included in the rate. It is within walking distance of the Glenwood Hot Springs, the maintain downtown and the train station. Iron Mountain Hot Springs and the Adventure Park are minutes away
