Hotel's Favourite
This hotel was very nice. The breakfast was a little sad. It did not include any hot foods. The rooms were nice, though. We did not use the pool, but it looked very nice as well. Parking was easy, and we saw bighorn sheep the morning we left right outside the hotel. The location was great. We went to the Iron Mountain Hot Springs while we were there and Tequila's restaurant.

I stayed at Hotel Glenwood Springs with my husband and two children. Right away, from making reservations over the phone, Adam was an amazing representative in customer service. He asked great questions to tailor to our family's needs and was professional but easy to talk with.
Upon arrival, Mia checked us in. She was so sweet, cheerful, and professional. She read back our requests we made during reservation, and made sure we still wanted those as well as checked us in and got us pool reservations. We came down asking for pool towels and she was so accommodating.
The pool, or aqutic park, is super fun and family friendly. My kids loved the slide and basketball hoop, and my husband and I soaked in the whirlpool. Pool is warm and not too deep for the little ones.
The room was so really spacious and clean. We had two queen beds, a microwave, and mini fridge. We brought our own snacks and drinks as we thought the COVID precautions might limit the F&B offerings. We were right. We enjoyed granola and yogurt each morning with bottled water. Kids liked the milk and cereal. Coffee is in guestrooms. Though light, it did the trick and we enjoyed eating out at The Bavarian Inn, Grind, Italian Underground and for date night Juicy Lucy's for an amazing steak.
Lots of great trails to hike, even with little ones. We recommend the moderate Doc Holliday's Cemetary trail as we could do it with the kids. We also walked from the hotel to Two Rivers Park and sat along the Colorado and had a picnic one afternoon.
Overall, this hotel is super family-friendly, service oriented with kind associates, and really clean during these times. I saw staff constantly wiping down the common areas, elevator buttons, door handles, and even the keys when guests would reutrn them to keep everything sanitized.
We'll be back and probably will take the Amtrak Train to town next time! Awesome tip we heard from a staff member!

The hotel shares the same parking lot as the Glenwood Springs Adventure Park. It’s not like you would have to park super far away anyway (the park is small), but it was great to not have to drive anywhere when I wanted to go to the park the next day. I just got up, had the standard continental breakfast at the hotel, and walked to the other part of the parking lot to be first in line. It’s SUPER convenient if you are going to the park. The hotel also had a 10% discount coupon to the park for staying there. Overall decent hotel (neither amazing nor disgusting), with a free continental breakfast that was adequate. I stayed in pet friendly room (all they had when I checked in) and it was cleaned well enough that it didn’t smell like pets or bother my allergies (which surprised me since I’m fairly allergic to pet hair/dander). So, I know it was cleaned pretty well. There were a couple of dogs on the ground floor with me, but good enough insulation that they didn’t bother me and keep me up. Overall a decent hotel that I would stay at again - especially if I was going to the adventure park (which is TOTALLY worth doing if you either like thrilling rides that utilize the location of the top of a cliff, or have kids that want short lines, and enough fun stuff to have an enjoyable day). I honestly wouldn’t take my wife there since it’s a step below a Fairfield Inn. We generally stay at Marriott brands, and she’s not crazy about the Fairfield, Courtyard, and Residence Inns unless they are pretty new. This isn’t a new hotel, and the furniture was the style of an older Fairfield or Residence Inn. However, I’m a little more forgiving in what matters to me, so the location alone was a winner for me. Didn’t have to move my car - walked to dinner the night before, and literally same parking lot the next morning for the park.

So if you're coming to Glenwood with kids, this is the place for you! They have a great pool with a small kids area, and a great water slide and a smaller toddler slide too. Plus the hot tub is huge and so toasty!! Of course, swim at your own risk as there is no lifeguard. The main part of the pool is no more than 4' deep, so great for kids. Tables and chairs all around for parents to sit and watch. Rooms are nice sized with fridge and microwave and reasonable rates for the area. The staff was great! Very attentive to guests and eager to answer any questions. We actually traveled with another family and they were very accommodating getting our rooms close to each other. Definitely going to be staying here again when we bring the kids back to Glenwood! Plus if you are doing the adventure park, the hotel is literally at the base of the gondola up the mountain! They have grab and go breakfast items. Nothing too special; cereal, milk, yogurt, pastries, some fruit and granola. Plus, if you are bringing fido, they have pet friendly room!

+1
Our family of 4 stayed here 4 nights over Christmas Break & skied at Sunlight Mtn.
Pros: our kids enjoyed the arcade, pool area & bunkbeds. Location for adventure park is perfect! It sits right next to it. Hot tub was nice & HOT!
Cons: room feels very dated & old, our room was extremely HOT & stuffy the entire 5 days, we had the a/c running, windows in room do not open. Do not plan to do laundry here, they have 1 washer & dryer in their laundry room for the entire hotel. As other reviewers have stated, we could hear the highway noise, however we were so tired from skiing all day that it did not keep us awake.

Awesome hotel, beautiful room and great location. The hotel is centrally located in walking distance from the two main springs in town and is next to the gondola rides which takes you to the top of the mountain to Adventure Park. The main reason though for such a great vacation was Adam from the front desk. You couldn’t find a nicer, knowledgeable and friendlier person than him. He told us about the local gems of Glenwood Springs, good dinning spots and hidden attractions that you wouldn’t find them on the internet or local brochures. It was our first time family trip to Glenwood Springs and Adam made sure we had a wonderful vacation. Because of Adam we are leaving the hotel with great memories and a wish to come back soon. Thank you for your hospitality.

I've never felt so welcome at a hotel with the company present. I had my fiancee and 2 dogs with me, neither is a small breed, and the hotel was incredibly accommodating. They had hardwood floors on the first floor, an entire floor just for pet friendly rooms! We had just done a whole day of hiking, so the dogs went right to sleep. We were able to enjoy the heated indoor pool with a HUGE slide, and relax in a nice big hot tub. Perfect after all the road traveling and hiking. The most impressive part was definitely Claire, our front desk help for the evening. She was so sweet and accommodating with our needs, and the dogs loved her too. I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends who like to travel hgwy 70 during ski season. We had a great time! Thanks again Claire!

From the fairy-tale views of tall evergreens twinkling with blue lights to the spacious rooms and of course the hot mineral springs just across the street, this hotel provided a wonderful four-day getaway. The staff was unusually friendly and helpful. Example: we had almost completed a jigsaw puzzle on the coffee table in the room, but wanted to complete it back home. The front desk connected us with another staff person who provided cardboard and tape to do just that.
While the town itself was overcrowded and the restaurants nothing special, we found the hotel a welcome haven after our blissful soaks.

Great place to stay especially with kids! The pool area is large and has a slide, and the gondola is right next door to get to the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. We booked five rooms for a family stay and they were very accommodating. Breakfast was cold foods only, but the hotel is in walking distance of several restaurants. We will stay there again!

We stayed in the King Master Suite with bunk beds. It was terrible! The comforter on the king bed was ripped with holes in it, the jacuzzi tub was broken with parts of the tub sitting on the side, both lamps on the nightstand where broken, the walls where dirty with marks and looked like it had not been cleaned ever!
This hotel needs some up keep, lights out in the halls, dirty walls and carpet everywhere. Way too expensive for what you get!

Hi Melissa,
Yes all the pet rooms are incredibly clean. We have wood floors in all of the pet rooms to make cleaning easier. We do hope to see you and your furry friend in the future.

Hi Shann L,
Assuming the snow is falling, there is a great hill next to Target that is very popular for sledding. Another option is to reserve a spot at Snowmass Mountain (approx 1 hr drive) as they have a fantastic tubing area.
