I love a good old fashioned motor lodge and this one did not disappoint! We stayed in a family kitchenette room. It was clean and spacious. The continental breakfast had more options than expected. Staff were friendly and helpful. Anna at the front desk in particular helped me navigate a booking.com snafu. Really terrific budget option.
This hotel was such a pleasure to stay in. Nice sized, clean rooms, indoor and outdoor pool, big breakfast room and a really pretty picnic and garden area. Service was friendly and courteous. A throwback style motel-I just loved it! Conveniently located-close to shops, restaurants and major roads.
This is a great place to stay. Rooms are clean. Well appointed with small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Continental breakfast starts at 6 am, which works great for early risers with things to do...work or skiing. The owners are friendly, helpful. Always a wonderful experience.
Last minute find perfect for 5 gals! We rented the Cabin Suite which fit us all very comfortably! The place was very clean, staff were extremely nice, indoor pool, hot tub and sauna were so perfect and continental breakfast was done well!
We stayed there on this property in October 2021, and we had a very nice experience for the price we payed. The room was clean, all basic amenities were available. We had a good interaction with the manager as well. Convenient Location- adjacent to the 20th street bus station that take you to any part of the town, 10 minutes walk to the 27th street bus station, if you want to can catch intercity (such as Aspen) BRT buses.
This was a clean/adequate room at a fairly reasonable price ($194.43 for a room with two queen beds), includes cold breakfast in a small somewhat crowded breakfast room. Free wifi. Non smoking room with refrigerator and microwave. No elevator.
Wow! Clean mom and pop owned place where the front desk staff was friendly and helpful!! The rooms were immaculate! I’ve never even considered taking a bath at a hotel but this shower was perfect. I really want to know what they use to clean these tubs and showers. It looked like new!!! Great two nights and not only will we recommend, we will be back. We didn’t have time for the pool but the pool tub and sauna also looked perfect. Parking lot was clean clean clean. Just a top notch place if you want clean family friendly and safe!
Great location and amenities. There are two pools, a hot tub, a sauna, designated smoking areas, a nice continental breakfast. The room is nice, comfortable bed, friendly staff. A perfect little retreat that seems away from everyone but is actually close to so many activities and good restaurants.
When we entered the room, we noticed there were a few ants just inside the door. Over the next several minutes we observed and killed several more. There wasn’t a trail of them, which seemed weird. I called the front desk and was informed that they are elm bugs and nothing much can be done about them. They are common to Glenwood Springs. Ultimately, she did send maintenance to vacuum them up, but that was not particularly reassuring. At night while I was reading on my tablet, I killed 2 moth-like insects and 1 tiny crawling insect. When I woke up the following morning, I had 1 large insect bite on the back of my shoulder. Given how many reviews noted the cleanliness of the rooms, I was surprised and disappointed by our experience. If you are staying here, I’d recommend asking for a 2nd floor room ahead of time.…
My two friends and I stayed at the Cedar Lodge for a recent "girls weekend" to Glenwood Springs. It is an older motel style, but has been immaculately maintained. The room was spacious enough for the three of us and very clean with comfortable beds. The garden areas around the property are beautiful and we enjoyed having our coffee outside at the picnic area behind the office every morning. Sitting there in the sunshine and admiring the gorgeous flowers was a perfect start to each day. We didn't use the pool, but it, too, looked like a nice place to hang out with family or friends. Parking was a bit harder to find when we returned to our room later at night, but we still got a parking space--it was just a bit further away from our room. This is a great find for the price and a good choice for friends or families staying in Glenwood Springs. If you are coming from the hot springs pool or main part of downtown, I recommend that you cut over to Blake Avenue and then make a right turn on 23rd Street so that you can turn right into the Cedar Lodge parking lot. Trying to turn left into it off of Grand Ave. took forever because of traffic.…
