Our room was quite large and very clean. I loved the view of Blanca Peak in the morning. It had snowed overnight and the mountain was beautiful. This is a nice place to stay if you are visiting The Great Sand Dunes. I would stay here again.

I love this place! Whenever I visit the valley and don't feel like camping, this is the only motel I will go to. The price is right, their pet friendly policy is perfect, the view is gorgeous, and the staff are laid back and helpful--from the front desk to the maids. If you want to see the REAL Fort Garland...

There are only two places to stay in Fort Garland (that I know of), so I recommend that you try Walsenburg or Alamosa. The Lodge is noisy (guests seemed to be bouncing off the walls and floors). There was exposed wiring from the old baseboard heater. It was a very small room ... like half of a normal "small" room....

Very clean. The people that work here are like friends to me I've stayed here so much ! I actually left a necklace there . The next time I came they brought it to me ! THAT'S UNHEARD OF THESE DAYS !!! You will not regret staying here ! Great rates also.

We drove down Friday night, slept well, and tackled two 14ers on Saturday. A good nights sleep was critical to a successful climb, and the Lodge Motel delivered. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, there was hot water, a fridge... nothing missing. Great value, by the way... only $50/room.

The lodge is an older building and it shows. The inside of my room was huge. The room was clean had cable TV, I watched a movie on HBO. The bed was comfy. Very flat pillows. The bathroom was big and clean but the cocking showed its age, no mildew. I missed having a big of Kleenex. The carpet was...

This was the best motel that I have been to in a while! I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I don't know what the woman below me was talking about, but if she READ their sign on the door it said to leave the key in the room for check out, and my room was clean and very...

Cons: Motel looks run down from the outside, Check-in office a bit messy and chaotic, Very slow internet at about 3 Mbps. No free breakfast. No box of Kleenex, no bath fan. Flypaper on the window inside had quite a few little moths and bugs on it. (Maybe that's a pro, can't decide.) Pros: We got two queen beds in...

This is not a fancy place. It's a motel--it's not supposed to be! I would stay here again because it met my expectations exactly: it was clean, the owners were friendly, they had cable, and it was very close to the Great Sand Dunes National Park (about 25 minutes from the park entrance). The delightful part about the motel is...

The rooms are old and dingy with that old motel smell. The rooms are very clean and you can tell the owners are doing their best to provide clean rooms and good service. The room has a window unit for AC which did not cool the room off adequately but once the sunset and it cooled down overnight, it wasn't...
