Too bad, we did not even stay the second night. Where to start? Some staff was nice others not at all. Nobody cares, except if you come to gamble, then the best parking spaces are yours. Now the room. Ours was too small, too warm (one window could open a bit, the other not at all) beds are like camping beds, too soft and warm, synthetic mattress and or covers. The first night we found out the room was simply infested with mosquitoes we tried to sleep but that was impossible. The next morning we had bites all over our body and my wife found out they mostly nested in the curtains, We told the staff and they did try with a vacuum, which maybe helped a bit. But the next evening we could not face another night like that, we did not dare to open the window again, and it was very warm in our little room. Tea making set placed where the plug does not fit into the socket and those terrible beds... we decided to leave right away and not spend the night that we paid for. In my many years of travelling, this was a first!!! I expected the ill tempered lady to ask if they was anything wrong, but she did not care to ask. Maybe she knew the answer? "Alstublieft" I said polity and handed the keycard. "Dank je wel" was her answer. I must add the breakfast was very good (so two stars) and we will never, ever spend a night here again.

Nice hotel with good cleanliness and neat linen and towels. Bathrooms are nice and very clean. Breakfast is also good with good variety of breads but their dispenser does not dispense hot milk. Altogether a nice place to stay near Amsterdam.

We stayed at the property for two nights and it was a very comfortable stay. Linen, towels were spic and span. Breakfast was lavish. 100 marks to hygiene. Food was very tasty and fresh. Staff wouldn't interact much. But we did not have the need to as it was booked by Thomas cook.

We had a coupon deal which included one night at this hotel, entry to the Efteling and breakfast. Recommend this hotel, very happy with what we got. Room was nice and clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Good selection for breakfast.

I Had a groupon offer with 2 nights and admission to Efteling Park. Neat rooms, very good breakfast, 15 min. to Efteling Park, in the evening good restaurant in the hotel. Despite proximity to the highway no noise pollution.

I was staying here with my Sister for 2 Nights. The room and Bath was clean and nice. The food on the Restaurant was very good, breakfast also good. There was a fire drill on one evening. We got informed by a letter, but unfortunately only in Dutch. I recommend to give out such important information also in English for foreign visitors. The staff was very nice and polite. We would absolutely recommend this hotel for visitors of Efteling. Perfect for a short trip and a nice stay.

It's always a pleasure to go to De Druiventros as this is my Roadburn home. I mean, every year I go to Roadburn Festival in April, I choose De Druiventros. Admittedly, this is not the most amazing hotel in the world. My room was like a bit old and faded. I think the whole hotel should be renovated seriously. But the staff is always really kind and helpful, as well for check-in as for check-out. The breakfast is also of good quality. Please Roadburn me again and again.

We visited with a group of athletes, a 10 days stay. They offered us their last meeting room for our purposes (massage) for free (there was some building going on). We ordered breakfast, lunch and dinner between the way we wanted it, and no time limits. Ah and for those interested (not us), there is a casino downstairs. And they have a big gym. And good parking.

This is the only hotel in this area so there really is no choice when visiting family. And since there is no other hotel in the area, there is no incentive for this hotel to improve. The room was clean and small. The hotel staff was kind kind and accommodating. However, there is one very inexpensive improvement that this and all European hotels could make to ensure a pleasant stay instead of the nightmare that we encountered, and that is screens on the windows. It was hot during the day when we were there in July 2016. But it cooled down nicely at night. Unfortunately for us, June had been especially rainy and there was an abundance of mosquitos. I spent the first night there hunting and killing the mosquitos that had invaded our room. Swarms. Chewing on my sweaty children. There was no way I could leave the unscreened window open and the small tower fan provided was woefully insuffiencent at providing relief to 4 people crammed in to a tiny room. When the sun came up I saw the carnage that occurred through the night. The walls & ceiling were covered in blood from having spent the night squishing hundreds of mosquitoes. I notified staff but upon return later in the afternoon, blood still there. However, they did give us a bigger room to ease the pain of body heat and sweat in this hot box. The bridal suite was bigger but the same problem existed, no window screen and an inefficient tower fan. Knowing I could not have the window open at night I decided to try and keep the room as cool as possible during the day. I opened the window, closed the curtains, stationed the fan in the window to draw in fresh, cool air. Put my room extra key card in the device to keep the electricity on while we were away, hoping to have a little comfort upon return. Unfortunately, when we returned that evening the room was boarded up tight, window closed, fan off and hot stuffiness throughout. And the kicker, the staff took my extra key card that is necessary to keep the electricity on so I could not cool down room again while not present. It's Europe, I get that. I overlooked there is no air conditioning. I overlooked the teeny tiny toilet room, I overlooked the ridiculously small accommodations, I overlooked the insane policy of only using key card for electricity when present, I overlooked the horrific smell from the kitchen right outside our unprotected window, I overlooked the staff smoking section just underneath our window, I overlooked the broken tub, the weird soap, the stupid hand held shower head, but what I cannot get over is the fact that THERE ARE NO SCREENS ON THE WINDOWS! It was a miserable stay. The next time we are there visiting family we have no choice but to stay there. But I will be buying screens from Home Depot and installing them on my own.

Stay here at least twice a year when in the area on business. The hotel has changed hands over the last few years, but the service has still remained the same. They do now have a large gym on the ground floor along with a new casino. The small bar with the bowling lanes has now been replaced with a hair salon which is a shame as the bar was a very good way to wind down after a hard day. The best tip I could give is don't get a room on the first floor as they are above the restaurant and you can hear every chair move morning and night.
