This hotel was my last one coming home from a multi state fishing trip. The location & parking lot was convenient in & out. The room was really clean and comfortable. The breakfast and coffee were both great. It is a very nice looking hotel.

We had a very comfortable and restful one night here stay during our 3-week road trip in October. The hotel is located off Highway 160 on the east edge of Durango. There did not seem to be any nearby restaurants. We stayed in a king bed suite. It was spacious, quiet, very clean

My family and I stayed here while we were in town for the Polar Express. A total of 6 kids and 4 Elfs on the Shelfs in tow. The morning after the train ride the staff allowed us to set up our elves in the lobby to suprise all the kids when we came down for breakfast. They kids

Stayed on night. Very accommodating. Woke up to 4 inches of snow. Being from Phoenix ... not prepared. They provided a snow brush to clean off car. Will stay again. Neat little town as well. Cowboy themes and even a little river to walk along. Some neat older buildings.

Hwy 550 from Durango to Montrose is the "scenic Highway" also known as Red Mountain pass. It can be driven on your own. It is beautiful, but has sharp curves and is steep most of the way. If you want to look at the scenery and not worry about watching the road, I would suggest having someone else drive.
