Very nice hotel for an authentic upscale old west experience. Live music in the bar and a great location for seeking out food and drinks in downtown. Room was small but very comfortable. Just a block from the train station

Stayed there couple weeks ago. I didn't like it. It does have all these old stuff ,but doesn't have this old charm. It looks like an old barn. All funiture need to be taken care of. So is a smell of the place... The mattress was very good and comfortable, but that's the one plus.

Staying at this hotel is a slice of heaven. You are living a piece of Colorado's history when you stay there. The two lounges and restaurant continue the beautiful historical journey. The rooms are lovely and beds supremely comfortable. The bathrooms admittedly are small and walls perhaps a bit "thin" but these types of unfortunate physical details cannot be helped...

This is a very well maintained historic hotel. Some of the rooms are named after some of their prior occupants. I'd recommend getting one of those rooms. We ate at the hotel and had a drink in their lounge and they were very comfortable and the drinks, service and food was very well done. The hotel is near strip of...

We had a great stay in this lovely historic building. The rooms are large and have a period feel. The bars and restaurant are first class, both for service and good food. Especially enjoyed the live music during the evening in the bar. A good suggestion would be to provide valet parking as finding a space in the lots was...

this is our second visit to the Strater. We loved it both times. Even though the rooms are small, they are very comfortable. It is great to be able to go downstairs to the Diamond Belle saloon and listen to live music and good drinks or over to the office for live music and drinks without going outside.

I love this hotel, they have the best ceilings ever! The bar in the restaurant are quaint and fun, great live music, what an awesome old hotel filled with antiques. Close to restaurants shopping and the trails along the river! Note they stop serving dinner around nine, as do most of the local restaurants, so not the best destination for...

Can't go wrong choosing the Strater Hotel. Historically classy yet still welcoming and comfortable. Friendly staff. Good food and drink. Excellent sit down breakfast included. Wade is the best bartender ever at "the Office", attached to the hotel. He is a super efficient mixologist whipping up delicious drinks while learning and remembering every patron's name and favorite beverage.

Very late review, my 14 year old niece and I stayed here 2/2016, road trip. The restaurant/bar is very cute and really crowded, live band, authentic décor and wait staff uniforms, quite fun. The hotel is wonderfully historic and I would certainly stay here again. Parking is directly across the street, the bellman took our bags up, however there is...
