I've always loved this campground. The scenery is so nice, and the location on the river is beautiful. Many of the sites have lots of shade, which is good. We stayed for 5 nights. The staff was very nice during our stay. My only two small complaints: 1. Wifi is only good in certain spots, and I could never connect...

We're glad you have such fond memories of your times here, Greg. Technology out in nature isn't always perfect, so the wifi does have a few spots we're working on helping it reach. We'll take your comment about shower seating under consideration. We hope to see you again soon. Take care, Durango Riverside Resort Staff

If you can visit in September when the leaves are changing you'll become an addict like us! This park is so beautiful...especially the riverfront sites. Great location for day trips to so many different places. We've done Mesa Verde and Ouray which i highly recommend both! I'm sure it's a really fun place in the middle of summer but we...

Fall is one of the most magical times around here, Amy. I'm thrilled that you've discovered a whole different version of how beautiful it is out here. It sounds like you had a lot of the fun around Durango. I'm honored to be counted as your favorite, especially by such seasoned campers. I hope we'll see you both before the...

We have stayed at the Durango Riverside Resort three different years during the fall when we visited the area to ride the Durango-Silverton Train. The location is ideal for an outdoor experience, yet being close to Durango. We have camped and we have stayed in the cabins. The staff and amenities are great!

People there go above and beyond to make sure your needs are met. We had an amazing time there the last two years in a row. We have another trip planned this year. I would recommend this place to everyone and do!

Year after year we visit Riverside Resort with our children. The cabins are clean, well maintained, and are quiet enough to give us a very peaceful vacation. We love the staff, as they have always went out of there way to make sure that our vacation was top notch. The kids love the small store that is onsite. Our ONLY...

We love that you are able to show the family a good time each year. While the game room is still very much a happening spot, we found that most kids were playing on their devices more than at our machines. We're evaluating whether we will keep any of the older machines in play. You deserve a relaxing stay that...

Loved the resort! Situated right on the Animas river, with a nice viewing deck. We could see wildlife daily, and it was just the perfect setting for a relaxing vacation. A big convenience is that the Front Desk lobby has a small store for all the essentials, and a very nice gift shop too! The drive to Durango is beautiful...

We just spent a week in our RV along the Animas River. What a perfect spot. The staff were all very helpful. What a beautiful place to stay. Close enough to town. Make sure you check out James Ranch & Honeyville along the way. The D -S Train was our favorite! Looking forward to our next trip!

This place would be fine if you were in a self-contained RV, however, the restrooms, showers and garbage dumpsters were not adequate for the number of people using them. Even though there were signs warning of bears, the dumpsters were overflowing with sacks of garbage on top of them. The restrooms ran out of paper towels and there were issues...

Pulled up to the campground and greeted by a very friendly woman who checked us in and oriented us to the campground and the cabin we reserved. We reserved the cabin TWILIGHT months before our visit and were told it was the last one available when we spoke on the phone. When I reserved the cabin I had concerns about...

Quiet most of the time, rest rooms cleaned only once daily for a full park, ice cream available only four hours per week; campsites are quiet small with little privacy. We had really anticipated this vacation and this spot and it was only average.
