My wife and I just returned to Chicago from a 3-week road trip out West. The Siesta Motel was my favorite stop on the trip. We stayed 3 nights there and enjoyed Durango immensely. This motel is a "classic" in every sense of the word. I love the old 1950s style "drive-up" motels with modern touches. The Siesta Motel is... More

I read many reviews on TripAdvisor before booking one night at this motel in beautiful Durango, Colorado. It reminded me a little bit of stepping back in time and once in a while that's kind of fun. Yes, it's old but it's clean. The couple who greeted me and checked me in were super nice. Per Marlene's recommendation we went... More

I find chain hotels boring. I like places with character. And I like places where you meet the owners at the front desk. Siesta Motel is just right. It is comfortable and homey. Siesta is an old-style Mom & Pop motel. But unlike many of those, Siesta tries very hard to stay up-to-date and provide good service. There are lots... More

We have now been on the road for over 10,000 miles (16,000 kms). Tomorrow we will have only two weeks left of our grand adventure. We have stayed in numerous motels across the United States (42 in the past 2 1/2 months) on this and other trips. The four nights in Durango were probably the best ones we have ever... More

Cozy hotel run by great people! This hotel has been here for a long time. The rooms are very comfortable, absolutely perfect for me. The price is right. They're not gouging in anyway. In fact, the town is sold out tonight and they kept their rates fair.

The best place to stay in Durango. The Siesta Motel is a quite smaller drive up to your room motel that is well maintained and provided a cozy comfortable atmosphere. The owners since 1975 are like the best hotel/motel ambassadors that you would ever meet. I travel 4 to 5 months a year with my job and these owners are... More

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. Super little motel. Nothing fancy but clean comfortable rooms and cheap rates. Owners Larry and Marlene are super nice and made us feel at home. Take time in the morning or evening to watch the hummingbirds feed by the office feeder and go barefoot in the soft green grass in the... More

We stayed in a regular king room for one night because we had an early outing for a rafting trip the next morning. The hotel was recommended by the rafting tour company as affordable and clean. And it was just that. This hotel is a tad dated with the mauve tub, and window unit air conditioning but for what we... More

On the spur of the moment we decided to visit Durango and lucky for us we found this super affordable motel. Nothing fancy but extremely clean and quiet. The owners are great. Within walking distance of several places to eat. Give this great little motel a try if you're ever in Durango.

We just ended a wonderful 6 weeks at the Siesta Motel in Durango CO. The sign says "Best Kept Secret in Durango" and that is so true! The owners Marlene and Larry were so helpful. Gave us info on places to see and places to eat. Beautiful grounds. Plus the room was very comfortable. There is a bus that will... More
