We did not stay at this bed and breakfast but attended their Murder Mystery "dinner theater" after finding it on Groupon. The only bright spot was seeing the lovely old building and beautiful antique furnishings. The fun stopped when we went upstairs for dinner and "entertainment," which consisted of mindless, mind-numbing noise followed by a lame and chaotic attempt to...

If you like authentic antiques and staying at a place with a sense of place and history, this lovingly restored 1890 period mansion and inn is the place for you. It is an artful and tasteful blend of antique furnishings and modern conveniences (in room ipad, wifi and jacuzzi). But best of all is Walt the owner and proprietor. He...

On our mini vacation we stayed a night at The Lumber Baron. Upon our stay we were greeted and given a tour of the renovated mansion. The host answered our questions and pointed out to us some great restaurants within walking distance. Our room was very comfortable and clean as well as spacious. The room was equipped with Internet and...

Just driving by and was captivated by the ambiance and allure of the mansion. Never knew anything about this place was just kind of pulled in while driving by. Best time ever, wasn't expecting all of the welcoming additions that fit so perfectly with the flow of the experience. Stayed in the Mary Ann Keller Suite and cannot express enough...

My husband and I stumbled upon this beautiful, ambient victorian mansion , overnight opportunity through a Living Social deal. We love historic sites so this was something we were interested in attending. We had dinner plans already that evening downtown ( which I regret) as we would have rather attended the mansions Murder Mystery Party. We had called the inn...

The company for which I work hosted their recent holiday celebration here at one of their casino / mystery dinner theater events. I took the opportunity to book the Anniversary Suite so my wife and I could stay the night instead of driving home (which is an hour away). The dinner was very good and the entertainment was exceptional. Our...

If you're looking for a very unique place to stay in Denver, you'll love the Lumber Baron Inn & Gardens. Located in a historic neighborhood, the Inn is a restored mansion loaded with beautiful antique furniture, featuring four guest rooms on the second floor, each with its own private bath including jetted tubs for two. I would recommend the gorgeous...

We were only in Denver for one night and wanted to stay at a local B&B instead of a chain hotel. We chose the Lumber Baron for something 'different and interesting'. What a great experience in this grand old, beautiful house! Loved the surrounding neighborhood and the ambiance of this grand old inn. We chose the anniversary room for obvious...

It was a great time. Very funny atmosphere. Everyone in character and playing a part. Its nice because the audience gets to be apart of the show! Nice to do things you wouldn't usually do. Funny all the way. The only thing is the food could of been better....chicken good but that's about it. But a great show!
