What a wonderful experience proprietor Joel gave us as we marveled at the charm and history of the Lumber Baron Inn. Just marveling at the extraordinary ceiling treatments is worth the trip. Our Colorado Room's toilet and shower were a bit of a squeeze, but in every other way it was totally enjoyable--jetted tubs in every room. Breakfast choices were...

Even when the grounds are dull winter brown, I could appreciate how lovely the garden must be during the other three seasons. The inside of this Victorian mansion is just lovely with its carved woodwork and period wall paper and rugs. Beautiful! All the suites are on the second floor. We stayed in the "garden" suite - so named because...

Went there for a birthday weekend. Loved the environment! Joel and his staff were very attentive to our needs, which were few as everything was great! Walking distance to some amazing bistro's and cafe's. Walking distance to dispensaries. It was the most relaxing vacation I have had. I have been to Italy, France, Germany, Spain, etc., Colorado and the Lumber...

Everything about this place was amazing. My fiance and I were looking for a small getaway somewhere unique and this hit the spot! Not only were the owners extremely kind and accommodating, the house itself was beautiful! We stayed in the Valentine room and were so impressed not only with the intricate beauty of the room, but also how comfortable...

Overall, we had a great stay here. The managers/owners were kind and accommodating, and we enjoyed having a tour of the building which was offered at check-in. We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite and loved the large jacuzzi tub, fireplace full of 'candles' and Christmas lights around the windows. The room had a modern thermostat so we could control the...

Aubrey! So sorry for the late reply! I just now saw this. Thank you so much for the kind words. We are so sorry about the noise from the TV, we are working on a solution and should have it fixed this week! We are also working on the creaks from the floors, you are right it is an old...

We stayed for an extended weekend to celebrate our anniversary. This was our first visit to the Lumber Baron, as well as our first B&B experience. We got into Denver a bit earlier than planned, so we called ahead to see if we could check in early. Luckily, our room was ready & they told us to come on over!...

Beautiful home with a detailed and unique history. The owners were friendly and gave us an amazing tour of the home and told us a lot about the history of the house. They were very accommodating to the needs of our family. I would stay again if traveling to Denver in the future.

One of the main reasons I like to stay at Bed & Breakfast hotels is because they are all unique in style and I love breakfast. I really liked the size and beauty of this old home. The ceilings were all different and beautiful, especially the ball room. Our upstairs room was small. The toilet was in a tiny, almost...

Stayed here while attending a conference downtown. This charming mansion has been restored with an artistic touch. The room was large and well appointed. The owners were friendly and attentive to my needs. Location very convenient to downtown and sports arenas.

We celebrated my husbands 50th birthday. The honeymoon suite was amazing and the house was incredible. So old and so elegant. Joel is incredibly hospitable and took us around the house Shari g with us the history of this incredible mansion. A place worth visiting and staying.
