If you enjoy gambling a bit, this is a terrific value. We received the senior (over 50) rate of $49.95 plus taxes etc and with minimal effort were able to earn enough points to get our room comped. This is Sunday through Thursday until further notice. So, the good is a free room, decently clean and comfortable. The bad was...

The Double Eagle Hotel and Casino, Cripple Creek, CO is a nice property. I have stayed there before and never had an issue with cigarette smoke............ until now. I had a room on the fifth floor and noticed an odor as soon as I checked in. I tried opening a window but they don't open. I knew the odor was...

It is getting a little long in the tooth but the people are kinda ho-hum about their jobs. I was surprised to find out that the casinos are smoke-free. Most important....Cripple Creek is over NINE THOUSAND feet above sea level. It was really hard for me to breathe and we left a day early.

Admit it, the lodging options are somewhat limited, and most people come to town to gamble. I recommend the Double Eagle. I have family in Cripple Creek, and I stay there when I visit. I'm not into gaming, and when you step out of the elevators into the hotel upstairs it is blissfully quiet. The rooms have pleasant air conditioning...

Vey friendly staff, clean rooms. They have in-room coffee again (after several complaints about taking it out). We always get a room with a great view. The only thing that keeps them from getting a higher rating is the restaurant. Breakfast is good, but the evening buffets are terrible. We will stay there again.

I am so disappointed in the whole experience, I do not know where to start. I guess I will just focus on the restaurant, which was unbelievably awful. While the ambiance is nice, the food was disgusting. The salad dressing was so sour that it was inedible, the crab cakes were just breadcrumbs with fake crab meat, the sea bass...

Many reviews I read said the hotel was great, service was great and the food was excellent. The hotel I experienced was a cheap knock off of a vegas casino done on a very tight budget, and the service was spotty at best. We were told the dining room closed at 9:00, we got there at 8:30 and were greeted...

The hotel was decent, the beds & pillows were not the best. The hotel & rooms were clean. The TV was the box style and had about 12 channels and would get fuzzy. Our children thought it was funny to have an "old TV". We only stayed one night we had a gift certificate to use. The hotel staff at...

Enjoyed the hotel, restaurants and casino very much. We only stayed one night but wish we could of stayed more. Check in was a breeze with the room being exactly what we were looking for. We would definitely stay here again in the future. We highly suggest you give this hotel a shot when you visit CCin the future. P.s....
