Our group of eight friends stayed here for two nights. It is an interesting historic building with updated rooms and within easy walking distance of the main street and all the restaurants there. Our balcony room had a nice view of Crested Butte Mountain, but be aware the balconies are tiny. The public rooms and the front porch provided nice...

I'm happy you enjoyed your stay. I'm sorry we did not touch base regarding a earlier breakfast for your group. We get many hikers all summer and make sure they get something to eat when they leave early. Many guests start the coffee at 5:30, grab something quick, and leave very early. Please ask us next time the night before...

We stayed here, probably 20-25 years ago, different owners. Can't say I remember much about that visit, but decided to stay here again based on TA reviews. We had a small, comfortable, but somewhat spartan room on the 1st floor. Bed was comfortable. The fairly small bathroom was next to the entrance but down a hall from the main room....

A beautiful old lodge, wonderfully renovated and decorated. My room was on the 3rd floor (no elevator) and had a balcony with a mountain view. It was not large but sparkling clean and comfortable. It did not have air conditioning but had a window and a ceiling fan so it cooled off very quickly when the sun went down. The...

Just finished a week at the lodge with a group of hikers to see the wildflowers. Loved the lodge; nice living room, great hot tub, small but clean and cute old rooms. Breakfast was served a little later than we wanted but was plentiful, with hot food, fresh fruit and bagels or toast everyday. The location is great for walking...

Just returned from our second trip to Crested Butte's Wildflower Festival. The area is extra-beautiful this time of year and we were out of superlatives sometime in our second day. Our focus was hiking among the flowers and we had 5 great hikes in 6 days. Our other day we visited the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory in the "town" of...

A group of us come over every year for the Wildflower Festival. We have been fortunate to stay here every year. A beautifully renovated historic lodge with a wonderful view of the Butte from window or balcony. The management and staff are always courteous and helpful. Breakfast always delicious. A nice bar area. Will be back next year.

We just returned from a 2-night stay in Crested Butte at Elk Mountain Lodge and we loved it!! My family of me, my husband and our 17 and 19 year old sons stayed very comfortably in the Queen, twin, trundle room on the first floor. The room was perfect for us. It had everything we could want and more. The...

We loved our three nights at Elk Mountain Lodge. It's a beautifully restored historic building (once a miner's lodging house) in a perfect location: within a minute's walk of the busy main street, yet on a quiet, residential block. Our room (#14) was large, cozy, and very well designed (including a sort of walk-in closet where we could stash all...

Our friend booked the Elk Mountain to get us close to downtown CB. We had hiked over from Aspen and were spending a couple night in Crested Butte. The lodge is an old boarding house for miners and surprisingly bigger than you imagine from the front. 3 stories with 20 guest rooms. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. They...

Checked in on a Sunday in June '16, and we stayed on room #4, which is in the back of the Lodge on the 2nd floor. The room is cozy with a king bed and VERY quiet. Bed was comfortable and the hospitality excellent. Really enjoyed the home cooked breakfasts, especially the biscuits, pancakes, granola and fresh jam. We took...
