I only spent one night at Elk Mountain Lodge after a wonderful hike over from Aspen. I had stayed in CB many times, but never at this hotel. This is now my new favorite. The beds were great w/ nice comforters, the bathroom was clean and cute, girl at check-in desk was really friendly. They have a great hot tub...

My second year now to stay at Elk Mountain Lodge during the Crested Butte Wildflower Fest. Went with 4 great friends. The rooms are spotless clean and the decor is perfect for the setting. The staff are friendly, courteous and charming. After nightly dinner around town, we returned to sing in the lobby/living room while one friend played for us...

Mike, Amy and staff have a gem of a Lodge that they refurbished in 2000. Wonderful cozy feel in the lobby, complete with piano. The staff know the area, give great tips on where to hike, what to see, and what to do in town. The breakfast is very tasty. The best part was the corner upstairs room where we...

My husband and I were in CB for a little over a week to mountain bike and hike...stayed at the lodge the entire time. Great experience. Room/lodge was very clean, bed was comfortable, showers were hot, folks were friendly, Wi-Fi was great, and the room TV got Versus which meant we could watch the Tour re-runs every night (BONUS!). It's...

We were looking for a quiet historic property that was close to town center. We found a small property with history but excellently restored. Very comfortable public areas on first floor with comfortable furniture (felt like I was in a large comfortable living room). Our room was equally comfortable, quiet and everything worked fine. The bed gave a great night's...

The "full hot breakfast" was boiled eggs, granola cereal, bagels, overdried corn muffins and ham cubes. This is a continental breakfast in the worst sense. The mattress' on the beds was horrible - back pain all night. Obviously the innkeeper is cutting costs to increase his profit margin - to the detriment of the quality and service of the inn.

One star is both insulting and humiliating for a owner operated business where tremendous amounts of time are spent at the business. Not sure how these people missed the hot breakfast two times. They failed to mention the "hot" pancakes, "hot" egg casserole, fresh fruit and local organic bread. Their room was 149.00, a good value for a resort town...

We found this place on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed . It was larger than all the B&Bs which was perfect....the staff was very helpful ... Mike the owner gave us great suggestions on hikes, bars, food you name it. Brain was also very helpful. The Hotel was clean, Quiet, in THE perfect location, just two blocks off of...

Every other hotel/inn has check in at 3pm & check out at noon. Except Elk Mountain Lodge where you check in at 3pm & must check out at 10:30am. It's not posted on the back of the room door, like every other hotel & no one mentions it......until you're late checking out. The words came out sounding understanding but the...

11 years in business and never had a complaint about our check-out time. Check-out time is posted on our confirmation letter that most people read. Unfortunately this guest was also confused about our staff. The lady she spoke to was our housekeeper, not front desk staff. She has worked here for 8 years and had nothing but compliments.

Breakfasts were great and everyone friendly and very helpful. They really know the area, trails, things to do, restaurants and help you find just what you want. Rooms were comfortable and they have everything you need for a wonderful stay.

We arrived to a very warm greeting from Brian who was working at the front desk. The Lodge wasn't overly busy while we were there, so Brian asked if we wanted to look at other rooms and pick the one we liked best. We chose our originally assigned room (#17) which is on the top floor with a balcony and...
