I planed a weekend away with some of my friends to Wagendrift Lodge ... AND WE LOVED IT !!! It's a very quiet place where you can switch off your cellphone and connect with people for a change . We all stayed in the lodges with a amazing kitchen/braai area ( were we mostly where ) i would recommend everyone...

What an amazing place - all your senses come alive - nature your friend! ...gazing at the stars....listening to the sound of night....waking up with the sound of birds... Peaceful! What a privilege to have stayed there. thank you - we will be back.

Magnificent lodge with all the features. Multiple small touches which show the management are thinking about the business. Will definitely visit again. One of the best designed entertainment areas we've seen.

Wagendrift Lodge is a destination rather than a stopover as it's not on the way to anywhere. It is 30 km from Laingsburg on the tar road and 63 km from the R62 on a dirt road. These are 'country kilometers' and much longer than the old mile. The scenery is spectacular especially coming through Seveweeks Poort pass; however I...

We stayed at WagonDrift Lodge on our annual cycle tour - this year from Ceres , through the Karoo to George. We did a looooong stage from Sutherland to Laingsburg before arriving at WagonDrift Lodge. The lodge is very tastefully decorated and well appointed, and a place that the wife would be very comfortable to stay at. Clean and comfortable....

We stayed one night during our motorcycle trip, we got the cottage instead of the lodge (which is for 3 booked rooms minimum). The lodge looks nicer, but the cottage was comfortable, quite small inside and basic, but the stoep was very nice. It is quiet there, nice location, make sure you stock up on food, water, etc. I would...

We stayed just for one night on a Karoo road trip, but could have easily stayed longer. The place is located on a goat farm and has amazing views. The chalet we stayed in, Nguni, had a fantastic outdoor bar, dining, lounge, cooking and braai area (although the sink would have been a challenge for a tall person). Two single...

We booked one night and after 3min realized we should have booked the entire weekend here, lovely place, lovely rooms and really a undescribable atmosphere, we stayed in the lodge room 5, room was nice and warm, bed nice and clean and had a lovely night infront of a fire with some red wine. For a romantic night or a...

Absolutely stunning accommodation. Every convenience needed. Beautifully decorated. Stunning. Beautiful. Quiet and serene. Very relaxing and a stunning pool. No cell reception which was perfect for us. I would love to go back with 4 other couples for a relaxing really stunning party weekend.

We were very, very disappointed in our experience with Wagendrift Lodge. We had booked months in advance and paid in full via their own website and contact information. When it came time for our stay we arrived to find that the directions we were given were completely incorrect and led to us driving down what seemed to be a riverbed....
