We enjoyed a 3-night stay in early July, 2021, at the fairly new Comfort Suites Broomfield (opened in Jan). We were assigned Room 428 on the top floor which has a distant view of the mountains. It is a handicapped room but regular tub, not a walk-in. The location is suburban, so a car is needed for almost everything (except a walkable Starbucks and sports bar/restaurant in the adjacent parking lot). Our room had a King bed and, divided by a half wall, a sectional sofa that included a hide-a-bed. The website stipulated a maximum of 2 people but the hide-a-bed could easily add a 3rd (and extra bedding is in the closet as well). Very clean hotel with everything I need in a 3-star hotel: mini frig, coffee (single cup disposable packets), microwave, large tv with Spectrum remote (voice activated), ironing board + iron, shampoo + conditioner + lotion + soap and ample towels. Bed was firm and comfortable. Good lighting plus all the electrical outlets I needed (including USB). Wi-fi was excellent. The self-service breakfast buffet offered a wide range of hot and cold foods with seating for 33 + lobby furniture. It can get busy during rush periods, depending on the day, up to the 9:30 closing time. Cold foods ranged from bulk bin cereal and breads to individual yogurt containers, juices (watered down) & milk. Hot included waffle maker, scrambled eggs, seasoned diced potatoes, and either sausage or bacon. The serving spoons were not wiped nor did staff wear masks if you are concerned about COVID-19, however. (I brought my own wipes and mask though I am also fully vaccinated.) Indoor pool was lovely but small -- it could likely get crowded if too many kids are in the house. Only 3 towels on the afternoon that we used it. We were told that housekeeping is offered for those staying longer than 3 nights but towels can be replenished upon request. Our room had a connecting door but fortunately quiet neighbors. The doors have a gap so hallway noise can be a problem (as there was a softball team in the hallway VERY early our last morning)!

Brand new, top class hotel. The rating is not as high as it might be largely because some guests were unhappy with the lack of daily housekeeping. But that is not important to many people, including myself. It is unnecessary for a two or three day stay and environmentally unsound. Much more important is having a clean large room. This hotel meets that need superbly. Oh yes. This hotel has the traditional buffet breakfast, a must for those of us on road trips. Many hotels right now are just providing coffee and a tiny, microwavable sandwich.

The hotel is clean and brand new, but our first night there, the room did not get cleaned, the maid just exchanged the dirty towels for new ones. When we asked the front desk about the issue (we thought there was some sort of new way the rooms had to be cleaned because of COVID), the receptionist did not have an answer, and said they were not sure how rooms are cleaned. They told us they would leave a note for the manager about the matter, unfortunately tomorrow we are already leaving.
