This is a great location to stay if you are skiing or if you want to be close to town. Shuttle service is very easy and convenient although underground parking is also available. The units are a nice size with everything you need to stay comfortably for a week or more.

We have stayed at the Grand Lodge at Peak 7 previously but the snow always seemed to be better on Peak 8 & 9. Our decsision to stay at Grand Timber Lodge has been a huge mistake. We are currently staying at the resort as I write this review and though it’s only been 24 hours and

This is our second stay at Grand TImber Lodge--we were there for a week in early November 2018 booked through Interval International. We are not skiers--just retired travelers. It is a beautiful lodge--accommodations are stellar. The staff was welcoming and efficient. We had

Dear Celeste G, Thank you for returning to stay with us at Grand Timber Lodge for a second visit. We have enjoyed the beautiful early season snowfall, as it has set a picturesque scene for us to enjoy. Of course, this can lead to challenging travel conditions, but the Town of Breckenridge, Summit County, and Colorado Department of Transportation work tirelessly to ensure the roads are safe for travelers. Again, thank you for sharing your review and we hope to see you again soon! Josh Stuhr General Manager 970.547.3616

My husband and I enjoyed our weekend getaway at Grand Timber. Breckenridge is a nice town but seems geared toward young adults. We are middle aged and had a nice time but the town was definitely populated with more younger people. The ski resorts were not open yet and it was Hall

Dear Shelly T, Thank you for choosing Grand Timber Lodge for your fall getaway. Breckenridge is a diverse town with visitors of all ages. Certain times of year bring different types of visitors, with Halloween being known for more families that do not have kids in school. Even though Breckenridge Ski Resort was not open during October, our early season snow has been phenomenal, and conditions are great at this time. We hope this trend will continue so you can enjoy a fantastic day trip! Josh Stuhr General Manager 970.547.3616

We were very specific that we wanted ski in ski out accommodations. Not even close. It was difficult to get our skis, difficult to get to the slope, and don't even think about getting back to the hotel. The hotel is even difficult to get around in. Finding our room wasn't h

Dear R9323UCkarenr, We are sorry to hear that it was difficult for you to navigate Grand Timber Lodge and the town of Breckenridge during your stay. Grand Timber Lodge is situated along the Sawmill and Snowflake trails. These are two intermediate trails that lead to different sections of the resort and ski area, offering access to either the Snowflake Lift of Beaver Run Superchair. Our courtesy shuttle is also available to help access the town and areas of the mountain, especially when conditions on the two trails become more challenging. It is always our goal to ensure that our guests experience an easy vacation experience and are always working to be better for our future guests. Thank you for sharing your comments and we hope you enjoyed your time in Breckenridge. Josh Stuhr General Manager 970.547.3616

Is this really ski in/ski out?
The ski trails to and from Grand Timber Lodge are dependent on natural snowfall and can have variable conditions throughout the season as a result. To ski back to the resort, you can follow the Snowflake or Sawmill trails, depending on which side of the resort you are staying. To ski out to the lifts, you can ski down to the Snowflake Lift, which services Peak 8, by following the trail just across from our main driveway. There is also a trail that leaves the resort from our on site Christy Sports that leads to the Beaver Run Superchair and terrain on Peak 9. This route does require you to cross the ski area parking lot, but offers the easiest access to Peak 9 and 10. Additionally, the Grand Timber Lodge shuttle is available to drop you off at the many drop off locations, including the Quicksilver lift, Gondola, and the Beaver Run Superchair. We do have a video tutorial of the this access on our website to help provide a visual reference. Please feel free to contact us directly if you have any additional questions we can help answer. What is the general availability of bonus time at the GTL? We currently own at GL7 and bonus time is hit or miss (usually a miss). Thinking about moving our timeshare over to GTL. Good overall Availability of bonus time is very important for us. Please let me know your thoughts
We also owned at GL7 and had the same experience with rarely having bonus time available. We have had more luck getting bonus time at GTL. Weekends are still difficult during ski season but not impossible at GTL.

Will the shuttle pick me up anywhere in town or do I have to wait at a designated stop? If so how many stops are there? Do I need to call for a shuttle or can I just wait at a stop? If I call for a shuttle does the bus driver answer or am I connected to a dispatch coordinator? Is there a map of the shuttle route?
Our courtesy shuttle services the core area of Breckenridge, from City Market to the Ice Rink in the North and South directions, and then from Park Avenue towards Carter Park in East and West. On Main Street and the surrounding areas there are designated shuttle stops, about one each block. They are marked with a "Lodging Shuttle Stop" sign that is easily recognizable. The drivers are very familiar with these stops and where to pick you up. When looking for a ride leaving the resort, it is not necessary to call, as Grand Timber Lodge is their home base and they return as quickly as possible. To get a ride from town back, there is a phone number to call which connects you directly with the driver, so they can provide an accurate estimate of when they will be able to pick you up. Maps of town and the designated shuttle stops are available with the Concierge, who are also able to provide recommendations for restaurants and sites to visit during your visit to Breckenridge. If you have any additional questions, do not hesitate to contact the Grand Timber Lodge front desk, they are available 24 hours per day to assist! Josh Stuhr General Manager 970.547.3616

I understand you are closing the spa, will you still provide some spa services? Will robes still be available for use during the week?
We are happy to share that Refresh Massage Studio is up and running in Building 1 of Grand Timber Lodge. This new space continues to provide massage services here at the resort. For those seeking nail or skin care services are encouraged to take advantage of the discounts available at Soothe Spa. Robes continue to be available upon request for your week. Simply notify the front desk that you would like a robe and they will either provide you with one, or housekeeping will deliver it to your room. Thank you for your question and we hope to see you soon! Josh Stuhr General Manager 970.547.3616

Does your resort have air conditioning in the rooms?
Grand Timber Lodge does not have air conditioning in the units. We do have fans and evaporative coolers in each unit to provide artificial cooling in addition to local climate. Josh Stuhr General Manager
