As a single female traveller (who stays in MANY hostels as a frequent traveller) I felt this place was very unsafe. the hostel doors lock, but no one manually locked the doors when they entered.. and youre in the middle of the woods and while you're prob very safe ... i felt very

Hey OrangeandPurple. So so sorry you had a less than optimal experience in the hostel. Would love to talk with you more on this to learn more about your experience and to figure out how we can help prevent this in the future. The doors do lock automatically and we are here 24/7 at the frontdesk. We have never had any security issues here, not even a theft in the four years we have been open. Hope that helps and again, would appreciate a phone call to discuss to help us improve.

We stayed for a quick overnight in Boulder and had an excellent time! We had a 3 bedroom cabin with a full kitchen, dinning table and patio with a grill (an unexpected surprise!). Located a few miles into Boulder canyon the lodge is close enough to pop into town to pick up groc

Love this place. Brits - Boulder is the Ambleside of the USA, and this accommodation sets the scene nicely, an outsdoorsy kinda of place. Lovely little lodges, we had a private double, it had a little kitchen sink, fridge, hob ring and coffee maker if you need it, nice toiletries

We stayed three nights here! First off, the people are very nice and the location is excellent. The setting of the lodge is very nice and has potential to be very nice. The bad news, the rooms are old and need updating badly. The plumbing in our room was poor (I had to plunge the

My family loved our stay at Boulder Adventure Lodge. We stayed 2 nights before heading up to Estes. Staff made us feel welcome and gave us advice on trails to hike along the way. Close to downtown but secluded. We ate dinner each night on the picnic table outside our room and pra

Are you a marijuana friendly establishment?
No smoking in rooms. As others have said - lots of open air spaces on the grounds exist (away from the rooms) where you will have no problems while partaking in your cannabis of choice. Terrapin Station (about 10 min from A Lodge) has GREAT prices and product. Hiking trails (with platforms for camping) behind the lodge, chill chairs are often set up streamside on a small beachy area, a gazebo away from the parking areas, slack-line park, etc are just a few places to choose from (; ENJOY and cheers!

Do you have air conditioning?
No, we do not have air conditioning. We do have fans in each room and rarely need A/C with the creek running through the property to cool things down. We also have a pool.

Hi, I won't have a car and wondered if you could give some tips on a bus from/to Denver International Airport to the Lodge. Also, is there a way to make coffee while staying in the bunkbed room? thanks so much
Hi Emilie, sorry for the slow response. Getting from DIA I would recommend the AB route of the RTD bus system which takes you to Boulder Transit Center. Then taking the N route to Fourmile Canyon or a cab or uber. Also, Greenride is a great option to get from the airport direct to the A-Lodge. We provide coffee free of charge in the office all day :)

I am looking to book and will be flying into Denver airport. Do you provide free airport transportation? Also, would someone be able to drop one of us at a car rental in town? Thanks in advance!!
Airport shuttle is not offered. Having a rental car is a plus for getting around for sure. It is an easy drive from the airport. Just stay out of the express lanes and off the toll roads in your rental car to avoid being charged a huge fee by your rental car company.
