My wife's family (father and mother; three siblings and three spouses; 6 nieces and nephews, six spouses, and their two children; one of our sons, and us two) had a family reunion of sorts at Pine River. We had a great time. The lodge is on the lake and is near excellent hiking areas. We fished from the shoreline and...

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. I know it was fun for y'all to see my friend Pam. We totally enjoyed our cabin, Don's cabin, hope I have that correct. Plenty of room, well stocked kitchen, extremely maintained, and very comfortable beds. We loved Lake Vallecito and hopefully will get to come back soon. Your hospitality was so...

I have to say that the gals at Pine River Lodge saved our butts! We had planned on camping out overnight but things didn't work out so we and our two dogs were at a loss for where to stay. I gave Pine River Lodge a call and everything just fell into place. The gal was incredibly nice and accommodating....

Love this place!!! The ladies in the office are soooo friendly. The cabins are perfect. Everything you need with a cozy feel. Stayed this time in #18 which is a little more roomy than 16 and 17. Still has a good view but with more privacy when sitting on the porch. Perfect for 1-2 people! Plus excellent restaurants close by!

We stayed in cabins 20 & 21. Best views of the lake. Right on the water. The cabins were the last on the road so very private. Absolutely loved this place. Debbie and Donna are so wonderful, I can understand why so many people return over and over.

I cannot say enough good things about Pine River Lodge. The ladies who work at the front are the nicest warmest people ever. The view of the lake from any cabin is spectacular. The cabins have recently been upgraded as well as the front office. They did a wonderful job. You cannot go wrong staying at the Pine River Lodge....

Our cabin had a wonderful view of Lake Vallecito. We rented a one bedroom cabin that was newly remodeled. It was very clean and cozy. The owners were pleasant and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again.

We always stay here, then drive to Durango. It is a very relaxing and peaceful area. Nearby boating is available. Near the cabins is a Costa Rican cafe. Highly recommend breakfast there. Beware that there are steep hills and narrow dirt roads that you have to drive on. Do not take a luxury vehicle if you have other options.

We did a last minute booking here. We stayed at one of the cabins right on the lake front. The cabins are a little dated, but that's really part of their charm. The ladies who run the place are sweet and very accommodating. You can tell that they have passion for this place. It's been in the same family for...

This cabin was in a beautiful location. The owners were really friendly. The cabins were clean and the bed was comfortable. It was a little cramped for space, but we were quite busy so it didn't matter too much.. Even though they indicate they are on the Lake Vallecito, the access is difficult due to the steep hillside. And part...
