The Economy Inn is located in central Willows away from the traffic noise of I-5. The bed are very comfortable and the room has all the necessities you would expect in a motel. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. Great value. BTW, if you stay in Willows, be sure to try Nancy's, across from Wal-Mart near the airport, for great food.

Professional, honest, clean, friendly, earnest. This place is reminiscent of the good old-fashioned, family-run motel we would stay at during family road-trips. The owners are on-site, and offer a warm welcome and great local recommendations. The location is in a quiet neighborhood, about a half mile from the I-5 exit. Which means they're away from all the gas stations, fast food joints, other motels and noise right at the off-ramp. I liked being a few blocks away from that commotion to have a relaxing, quiet sleep. I found them and pricing on TripAdvisor, but called to make the reservation. The owner carefully explained that non-smoking rooms are a few dollars more. He was also honest that the motel provides simple accommodations. I booked via phone and stayed in a non-smoking room, which was still very, very cheap. The room was in excellent shape - clean and tidy furniture, linens, bathroom, and the cable tv, wifi and a/c all worked great. I would happily pass up an impersonal luxury hotel (not that there are any in town) for a clean, comfortable, welcoming, homey, quiet stay again here. Highly recommend!

We make a two-day trip south to visit family every year or two. Red Bluff is the halfway point for our trip, but we won't be stopping there anymore. This year, we drove another hour down the road and found this little gem. It's well worth the couple of miles it takes to get to it. It's quiet, clean, comfortable, and inexpensive. And they offer free wi-fi!

And here's a wonderful thing that isn't considered much, but had a large effect, at least for me. The heating/cooling system at Economy Inn is fabulous! Most motels have a system that has settings of high, low, and off, and that's it. I can rarely get the temperature right for me, and they're often loud enough to disturb my sleep. The system at Economy Inn has an easy-to-use thermostat in each room that you can set to a specific temperature, and the unit is much quieter than most. I got a great night's sleep! We'll definitely stop here on our next trip down the I-5 corridor.

Booked for 3 nights- stayed 2. Didn't get a refund for 3rd night. Walls are paper thin. When neighbor wasn't swearing he was snoring. Other neighbor did a brake job until 10pm. Coffee pot didn't work. I realize it's the Economy Inn but it was hard to get comfortable. We won't be back.

I booked and paid for this through Hotel .com.
When I arrived they wanted to give me a smelly smoking room. Apparently that's what the website assigned. Even though there were non smoking rooms available that clearly weren't going to be rented out at 10pm, the proprietor wouldn't let me change rooms without $12 up charge.

Check in took about half an hour. The owner went on and on about why I should book directly instead of via a website that charges him a commission. The Key to the door didn't work. Late check in, early rising next morning, tired, I really didn't want all these issues and delays.

There was a refrigerator but it kept the room only slightly cooler than room temperature. I suppose it saves a few cents a year in electricity not to set it cold.

Otherwise , the room seemed clean enough. No bugs visible. Safe area. Quiet.

But there are other motels in the area I would try next time.

The Economy Inn is an older establishment but cozy. The room was very comfortable. It also had microwave, small refrigerator, and coffee maker. The room was very clean. The management was nice and helpful about this area. I would stay here again.

For a motel charging (gouging) $112 per night, the room we got was in a horrible state (they told us it was the only room available)....the carpet was dirty and had cigarette burns (it is advertised as a non-smoking room), the dirty drapes barely hanging on the rod had to be paper-clipped shut, there was only one hanger on the hanging rod, and the bed was one double only with squeaky springs and very uncomfortable!

I found this to be the perfect traveler's hotel when in need of place to stop for the evening during an eleven hour road trip. Fair pricing - same as online - provided at the front counter upon arrival in the evening. Located in town a short ways up the main street, but welcoming to be away from the noise of the freeway and related services. Family owned with friendly service. Rooms small, but spotlessly clean, and include all the essentials needed, well placed and laid out within the room to boot. Very comfortable beds and bedding, and quiet for an easy nights sleep. Nice sized TV, mini fridge, coffeemaker, small shower with good-flow shower head, adequate storage for my overnight luggage, open closet to hang clothing, and room to bring one mt. bike inside. No continental breakfast or working ice machine if those are critical needs. I will definitely pick this one again!

Casual food and drink drive-in across the street. Fun place to relax and chat with very nice local folks.

Very basic but recently remodeled and very clean. Nice looking furniture. Comfortable beds. Just basic -- thin towels, no shampoo, no pictures on the walls. There is a diner across the street and it is fairly quiet. I was just there to sleep before an early appointment and it was just fine for that.

I booked this hotel for a two day meeting in Willows. Most of the other hotels were booked and this place had good reviews so I decided to give it a try. The owners are very hospitable and responsive to their customers needs. The room was very clean and furniture looked relatively new. Looking at the building, you see an older property and would not expect such nice rooms.

If I were to travel to Willows again, I would not hesitate to stay here.
