I drove into Weaverville on a January morning for a business day trip and realized that I forgot my jacket at home. It was 37 degrees and I decided to shop for a jacket. On the ground floor store of the Weaverville Hotel & Emporium, I noticed clothing stacked in hangers and I walked in hoping to buy something. But...

My husband and I took a side trip to the Trinity Alps on Jan 2, 2015. We booked the Weaverville Hotel and thought we would stay one day. Our Room was superb, welcoming with the fireplace and sitting area and our host and hostess Jeanne and Brian were so accommodating. The chocolates at bed turndown were scrumptious. They also had...

When we booked the Weaverville Hotel it looked like a great location, right in the middle of the historic district in this Gold Rush era town. The best surprise was how the owners, Jeanne and Brian treated us like old friends and did everything to make our stay perfect. We hope to return to see all the seasons in Weaverville.

We booked this hotel as we were visiting Weaverville for the 'Autumn in the Alps' Quilt Festival and because it is right on Main Street and next to the Band Stand. We were delighted to find it a wonderfully comfortable hotel with modern amenities and authentically historic ambience: antiques in the rooms, old photos, newspaper articles, etc. The room was...

We recently stayed at the Weaverville Hotel when we attended a family gathering of the ancestors of one of the founding families of the hotel. The hotel has been updated for comfort but still retains the period look. All the furniture are antiques but there are updated features like the bathroom and sound proof walls between the rooms. The owners...

We were on our way to Weed for a 50th wedding anniversary weekend, and decided to take advantage of the trip to see the Joss House in Weaverville (which has been our bucket list forever). We decided on the Weaverville Hotel as a place to stay, based on TripAdvisor reviews. Jeanne, the hostess was absolutely wonderful on the phone. And...

We had our hearts set on a B and B, but when we got to Weaverville no one was home so we started looking for other accommodations. Luckily, we found the historic Weaverville Hotel and Emporium. We were dubious at first, but the friendly staff set us at ease and when we were shown the rooms, we couldn't resist. The...

Lincoln & Brenda H., We were most interested in the historical restoration. But once we arrived, our expectations were met and exceeded. Even with the beautiful restoration, we have stayed at many other historical hotels and the comfort of the bed was lacking. We have absolutely no complaints about this hotel. We highly recommend it, and especially the La Grange...

The Weaverville Hotel has been beautifully restored with a genuine sense of the history of the area, as well as a sense of the history of the hotel. Jeanne and Brian pay attention to every detail in the rooms and public areas to make your stay comfortable. This is truly a gem in the lovely town of Weaverville.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The hotel, originally built in 1861, was last rebuilt in 1880 after burning to the ground. We have painstakingly restored it to the original high ceilings and wood floors, attempting to recapture as much of the original charm as possible. Private bath with shower in all rooms, most also have claw-foot tubs with bubble bath. All rooms are air conditioned with ceiling fans; most also have gas log fireplaces, a welcome feature during our colder months. Prime retail therapy is to be had in our great little Emporium downstairs where everything from sterling silver jewelry to women's clothing to great gift items can be found. The emporium is open every day, 9am till 6pm except Sundays, 10am-6pm. That's every day of the year! ... more   less
