Dear Heartstrong25, Thanks again for staying with us, and we appreciate your positive comments! We hope to see you again during the warmer months, when you can rent a boat and maybe lounge by the lake with your family. Management, The Lodge at Blue Lakes

We booked 3 rooms for a 50th birthday celebration including an executive suite with a full kitchen and dining room. During the day we rented a boat and enjoyed a cruise around the lake. At night we cooked a meal together at the suite and ate outdoors. The owner even joined us! Rooms are very nice. The grounds are well...

And we are absolutely flattered you chose our lodge to experience your 50th birthday celebration weekend. That is a big deal, and we are truly thankful you allowed us to be a part...

I booked a room here because of all the great reviews, but was surprised at how ordinary the hotel is. Nice and clean, but not exceptional. It's right off the highway, but backs onto the very pretty lake. The breakfast is good. The friendly clerk is one of the best parts about the experience.

Because this place is located in Lake County I wasn't really expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised however. We stayed in a king jacuzzi tub room. It had a nice gas fireplace and a back door that led out to a patio overlooking the lake. The only thing negative I can say about this place is concerning the bed. It...

Dear bebo8229, Thank you for the kind words and constructive criticism! As cliche as it may sound, we appreciate any and all feedback in our perpetual quest for the "perfect" experience at the lodge. (Although we have to admit, our beautiful lake setting and historical building do help.) On that note, we wanted to let you know that we are...

I wanted an escape from the stress of the daily routine, and I found the Lodge at Blue Lakes. Just what I was looking for -- a lake-side lodge with updated rooms. With the exception of a small grocery store, all restaurants are several miles away. The hotel provides a refrigerator and a microwave -- so bring your own meals...

On our travels up the pacific coast, this was one of our one night stays. It was rainy and cold, but we were warm in our little cabin/motel. It came with a mini kitchen, two recliners and a very comfortable bed. It was a very lucky find.

You'd think, at first, that you were back in the 60's, but take a closer look. Beginning with the check in to the breakfast, which they claim is continental, which was more than that, it was pretty nice. Breakfast consisted of all the usual breads and cereals plus eggs, sausages, and waffles. Coffee was adequate. Our room #6, had a...

Loved all the water activities, breakfast on the patio. The only negative is the location on the highway. A bit noisy but tolerable....

Found this place last minute during a road trip to see the Avenue of the Giants. Spectacular hotel located on the edge of a lovely secluded lake. Breakfast and an hours kayak was all included in the rate which made the stay more than a quick stop off. Thanks to the friendly staff too.
