We had a perfect overnight stay at the Tallman Hotel while in the area visiting friends. This boutique bed and breakfast hotel is beautifully restored with close attention to every detail. We stayed in an upper garden room located in one of the out buildings adjacent to the

Thank you so much for your kind comments. All of our rooms have either a veranda, balcony or front porch, which makes a perfect place for a morning cup of coffee or afternoon glass of wine, or cup of tea. Guests appreciate that the Blue Wing restaurant, which is open for lunch and dinner, is right on property. No need to drive anywhere. And we have live music on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings (and at Sunday brunch too). We're glad you enjoyed your meals and we look forward to seeing you again.

My wife booked this fantastic hotel. Great staff, amazing restoration of 1890’s building and fascinating place. There was a jazz festival on when we stayed, which was excellent. Lovely pool and our room had a Japanese hot tub. Good bar next door as well. Highly recommended.

I'd call this place a gem... historic, cozy ambiance, very pleasant staff, and with a restaurant right next door... Our rooms were clean and functioning, pleasant views, luxury bedding... I can't say enough about what a pleasant find the Tallman turned out to be! And coffee and

Thank you so much for your comments. We're glad you appreciated the historical features of this restored late 19th century hotel. The nice views from each of our 17 rooms are all a little bit different, and each room has either a wrap around veranda, or balcony or front porch. This makes a perfect spot for a morning cup of coffee or afternoon glass of wine. We hope to see you again.

This is a very nice country inn with a nice small-town location. It's the best place to stay in the Clearlake Area. It has a nice restaurant next to it as well. Highly recommended. This is just padding to make up the required 200 characters.

Thank you for your kind words. Many guests appreciate that our Blue Wing Restaurant is just steps away from the hotel. The winter menu is in place now with some lovely soups and salads and main dishes available. Our little Main Street is thriving these days, with several small gift shops carrying unique and practical items, and there's a tasting room across the street from the hotel with a nice selection of fine Lake County wines. We hope you'll visit us again.

Loved this hotel!. It has history and charm. We were not sure where we were going to stay and did a quick Google search of the area - the Tallman Hotel caught our eye and we are so glad that it did. The town of Upper Lake is small and, driving in, wondered if we had made the

Thank you for your kind comments. The rooms with the soaking tubs (called "ofuros") are our most popular rooms. Guests love the tub and outdoor shower and private back deck. Our Blue Wing restaurant has live music on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings, as well as the ever popular Sunday brunch. Little Upper Lake has some nice shops, and there are plenty of tasting rooms in the area as well as good hiking and biking trails. We hope you'll return again.

Where is the riding facility? Thank you.
All our rooms are usually very quiet. The Ofuro tubs make no noise.

Does this hotel have a shuttle from the Sacramento Airport?
The only shuttle we arrange to the Tallman is for our twice yearly Road Scholar Wine Programs. There is no regularly scheduled schuttle into Lake County. At the Hotel, we usually recommend the local cab service Riley Cab. For a price, I'm sure they would pick you up. Suggest calling them at 707-263-1690.
