I have been coming to The Alders since I was born and have been bringing my kids who are now in their teens. It is a wonderful place to spend an annual family vacation. The beach is amazing, large grassy area, volleyball court, ping pong, fire pit, several BBQ's, swing and located next door to Seaview Game Farm which has...

Not very well run... the owners seem more interested in making money than having repeat customers. Make sure to read the fine print on the tenancy agreement, they will do their best to take every penny they can. Suggest staying at another resort in Courtenay, there are much better places to stay.

Our hosts Doug and Cherly were very accomodating and friendly. It was very quiet, peaceful after being in Campbell River. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. They are constantly updating the cabins so even though they look old (quaint) from the outside, the inside is nicely updated. One of the cabins was new and at first...

Our accommodation fell through on Hornby Island at the last minute and then to top it off our car broke down near Courtney, had to be towed and then scraped on a long weekend. Our friend had rented a cabin long term at Alders Beach Resort in the winter 3 years prior and loved it, so we called hoping to...

This was the first time we have been to Alders and it was just amazing. We started by checking in with Doug and Cheryl who were very friendly and knowledgable of the resort and its history. We had a total of 3 cabins rented and they were all well equipped with the essentials. One point to make is if you...

For the last 13 years we have made the journey from Ottawa to Vancouver Island for what we all call a little piece of paradise. Yes it's rustic - but those of us who are trying to escape the everyday grind love it! Miles of quiet beaches, beautiful vistas and perfectly quaint cabins. So if you like long beach walks,...

We have enjoyed coming to this place since our three kids were young. Now we share a special week with them, their spouses and our seven grand-children ---- to say nothing of ten other families who have also shared the same week for many of those years. We call them our "Alders Family". Safe, quiet, rustic but certainly all cabins...
