My husband and I recently stayed in this hotel on a ski trip. We decided to save a little money so we were in a European style room which basically means the bathroom is shared with other rooms in the hall. We did not have to wait at all to use the shower in the morning so it worked out...

A fine place to stay. But it is an old world hotel experience. A short walk from the train station so train noise is an issue. But you knew that. Moody's is downstairs for a cocktail. Sit on the Veranda and buy a bottle of wine and watch the trains and the people. Beds are comfy and the place is...

I don't think that paying less should mean a dirty unsafe place, but I also don't expect large lavish rooms, modern faculties or other aspects I would expect from a "5 star" hotel. The Truckee hotel is everything I want in a hotel and over exceeds dollar for dollar. We stayed in a 100USD per night "European Double" with a...

I stayed three nights at the hotel between Christmas and the New Year Holidays. Great location with the restaurant and bar downstairs and other food options right down the street. I stayed in the queen room with the bathroom down the hall. Both shower/toilets on the floor were clean and well maintained. Plenty of toiletries available for use and two...

We rented this based on the price and location. I had read the other reviews and was a little apprehensive but it turned out great. We got a room with a bathroom and it was a decent size and had a flat screen tv. Pros: location is in the heart of downtown so you can walk to all the restaurants/shops,...

Not for people who want a Hilton experience, but the history and location make up for it. We had a room on third floor with bath down the hall, lavatory in room. No TV or phone in room but plenty of character and can walk to anywhere. Bar with music on ground floor so ask for a quieter room, we...

Ventured outside the canned hotel box to do a last minute overnight at this historic hotel - so glad we did! The hotel is conveniently located on the main street - walking distance to just about everything. Street parking is free from 6p - 10a. Moody's Bistro is in the building. Hotel Staff was very friendly and helpful. Stayed in...

But I don't. It is priced too high for what you get, or rather what you don't get: •Internet. Even in the common room it constantly drops the signal, and is slow when I am actually connected. •Hot water. Because it is historic, the hotel can't update its plumbing. I couldn't get hot water in the sink in my room...

I loved this historic hotel. We took the European queen for the night, great price. The description said shared bathroom but, there are 5 of them on that floor. No worries and no waits. Very clean and the location is great.

This place should be a zero star.Way overpriced, music vibrated your room till after midnight, residents running down the halls in the middle of the night drunk and singing and banging doors non stop till 3:00 a.m. There is no concierge after 11:00 so it seems that no one cares, as they have numerous complaints on yelp. Manager contacted via...
