We were out skiing all day and came back to find our room no made. Both Thursday and Friday. We spoke with reception and they gave us two towels. Unfortunately it was a let down. We had stayed here previously and loved the place.

Just stayed here last night. We really liked it. Very casual vibe. It's an older hotel but the rooms have been redone with fun creative touches. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were very clean We were surprised by the breakfast that was included. Nothing too fancy but it was nice to...

We stayed in a nice king room at the top of the parking lot after being accommodated for an early check in during a busy weekend. We had a beautiful view of the lake. The only obstruction was the torn up canvas surrounding the disregarded swimming pool, which I'm sure will be addressed as the weather starts to warm up....

What a great find! Relying on comments from prior customers, I booked on-line with little in the way of expectations. When I pulled up, I was a little leery of what looked like a not-brand-new motel. Walking in the front door I was immediately charmed by the way the lobby was put together, their selection of craft beers, and, most...

Marketing as something you are not is misleading and instantly made me concerned. Room was hip and clean, free wifi, a very simple breakfast, good beers, fire pits. No hot tub. Dogs welcome. Good location.

We loved this little gem of a hotel. We traveled with our two young children and we all had a great time. We loved the wine and beer available in the lobby, along with the s'mores in the evening. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable. We will definitely be back here next time we are in Tahoe City.

Stayed here 3 nights while enjoying a spring skiing trip with the family and our dog. Whole experience was very pleasant, the proximity of the lake, food choices and relative ease of getting to Squaw and Alpine made this place a definite favorite in our book!

The property is very modest, likely a recent upgrade of an old motel/hotel. However, the rooms have a great Tahoe ambiance, there are beautiful views of Lake Tahoe, a very convenient location in Tahoe City, and excellent service. The facility lacks a number of modern amenities, such as an exercise room, but it makes up for it in character.

Love the basecamp hotel family. Previously visited the Boulder hotel and stayed at North Lake. Great staff and accommodations. One thing that I wasn't crazy about was the breakfast as there was just toast, small packages of granola and waffles. But other than that its a great place to stay

Loved hanging out in the lobby with our dog, the staff, other guests, and a beer. The accessible king room had a lot of oddities like a shower that would flood the restroom and a lack of bathroom counter space but overall the decor and feel of the place is on point.
