We were looking forward to a comfortable, clean, and quiet stay in Sutter Creek. We were booked in a king room with a wall that was adjacent to the elevator. Every time the elevator moved the wall would creak as though something was going to come through the wall. Thankfully this ended around 10ish when most guests returned to their...

We were up in the foothills looking for real estate and decided to spend two days doing it. So we booked a night at Hotel Sutter. Location wise its right in the middle of Main street and it had off street parking in the back. The hotel was built in the 1800's so do not expect top shelf accomodations but...

Wife made reservation here a while back. A few days ago she gets a call saying that "we don't know how your reservation got through since we are fully booked for a wedding that weekend." A day later we get a note that informed us the reservation was cancelled at our request. Bad enough they don't have a good reservation...

We booked a room at Hotel Sutter knowing we would have dinner and then attend the New Year's Eve bash downstairs. It was a different experience for us as we had never stayed over anywhere on New Year's Eve. Our room was spacious but we couldn't get it warm enough. When we first arrived, the overhead fan was going full...

My husband and I take a post-Christmas 2-night trip every year to extend the holidays, and choosing Hotel Sutter was exactly what we love… charm, history, downtown location and nearby places to visit! This 3-story hotel just smacks of ambience and friendliness. (Hey, what could be friendlier than a bottle of wine waiting for you in the room? Is that...

We are here on a Monday evening. The setting is in an old hotel in historic Sutter Creek; very quaint an comforting. The menu and wine selections (many from local Amador wineries) was great. Other than a few rookie moves by the wait staff, we were pleased with our meal. Dress up or dress down; you will enjoy this place.

This was our second nights accommodation on our winery tour of the "Gold Country". Yet another historic hotel of which there seemed to be a plethora in this region. We checked in and were allocated rooms on the 2nd floor. The elevator was more a time machine so slowly it moved. Our room was very spacious with a equally spacious...

This is a no frills place to stay, but it's a fun spot with great access to Sutter Creek. The restaurant attached to the hotel is good and has delicious Brussels sprouts. I arrived early, but wasn't able to check in since the rooms were still being cleared. After walking around town and grabbing a cup of coffee, I checked...

We stayed for one night at the Sutter Hotel after attending a concert at the historic Sutter Theater. The entire area is a throwback to it's mining days. The hotel is old but very nicely renovated. Our room was pretty large with two queen beds. The bathroom was small, but with a nice walk-in shower. The location is perfect if...

Sutter is a period town with lots of false fronted buildings with verandas covering the walkway. It was very hot 97 in the shade. Used the restaurant for lunch. Both of us had a Berger a 1849 and an 1857. These where the first we have had in the states. Very good, amazing, Makes you wonder how the chains sell...
