We had lunch here today and the pork belly was very generous. We then decided to stay in town so booked one night in a cabin. Lady at front desk was pleasant. Quick check in. Room is small but clean. There is a hole in the wall that should be fixed. This town accommodation is generally expensive so for $99...

Thought we'd try the local for a Friday night dinner. Ordered an entree to share as well as two mains, our meals took over half an hour to come out (there were only two other people there so not a busy service or anything) everything came out together with some excuse that the docket didn't print properly. I ordered a...

Rooms are clean and tidy. Front counter people very friendly and helpful. Booking confirmation and invoicing system via email works well. Beer is cold but there is always a long wait for meals to be served. No issues with quality of food but you'll be either very hungry or pretty drunk by the time you are eating 😂

Definitely not bad. the center bessa block rooms are very modern, spacious and clean. free net via ethernet cable, and LCD tv. new couch and modern bathroom. Advertises "free wifi accessible in all rooms" yet there is none, but if you have a PC with an ethernet port, you can connect via cable. So beware if you choose based on...

I visited the Jolly Collier for a night out with a few friends, I found this pub to be friendly with good service. The only problems I had are that the juke box have a very limit selection of music that isn't very recent and drinks are abit expensive though this isn't usual in a small country town - I...

The room was Very noisy. Ordered room service which was chicken and mushroom fettuccine and also the roast of the day which was...

Lived here for 1.5 years straight on FIFO basis and got used to the place. It's pretty average for the central coal fields unless one heads to the bigger towns but the place has been around for a while and has a fairly good reputation. Value for money it is not but staying anywhere in the coal fields comes at...

The jolly collier seems to be the only hotel motel in town. The cabin I stayed in was quite clean, bed was comfortable and the tv was a nice new flat screen. The staff were friendly and the night I stayed, a Thursday, they had a $15.00 400gram steak special On. It was one of the best value meals I...
