With very affordable price in the expensive city of San Francisco, this hotel offers more than the price. Rooms are pretty spacious. Bathroom is small but has everything in it including the dryer. Floor is covered with clean and dry carpet. Staffs are helpful. Location is perfect for going to all direction around SF area. Parking is abundant and free.
Great location. Clean updated rooms. Carl’s Jr/gas station is adjacent to the inn which has a little minimart for food, drinks, chips, etc. Good home base for your San Francisco day trips. Safe parking for your rental car (unlike the Fisherman’s Wharf area where my car was broken into during the day, gf’s purse under the back seat stolen). So yea, away from unpredictability of San Fran, 30 minutes away to sleep in peace and quiet. Win win.
We stayed at the Travelers Inn in South San Francisco for about 4 days in late July, as we wanted to be close to our son’s apartment in Bernal Heights. It was a terrific value, as our room was spotless and updated—a perfect spot as we needed a convenient location to stay at night but didn’t want to spend a bundle. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful as well. Because we saved money on our lodging, we had extra spending money during the trip. Would definitely stay there again!
The rooms are clean and have all the amenities you need except for the soap which are the little bars from the 1950's.. The location is great for an inexpensive visit to San Francisco. The area appears safe and parking is free. Across the street is a shopping center with a grocery, Subway, and Jack in the Box. Costco is a block away and the Bart station to the airport and every area of SF is three blocks away. The traffic is light and there is easy access to freeways if you want to drive places. So much better than staying in downtown Sf.
This place is quite expensive for a motel, but still it was the most reasonable choice around San Francisco, where hotel prices are outrageously high. Rooms are quite ok and comfortable, despite proximity of a gas station. There’s no breakfast option, fortunately there’s plenty of choices around. No laundry either. Plenty of parking space though. All in all, fairly ok choice for a short stay in San Francisco area, provided you have your own car.
Bottom line is that this is one of the few reasonably priced motel that's close to both the city and the SF airport. It's like the older style single story, park in front of your room, motels. But it has some upgrades that have modernized the look. The minor downsides are the noise (both the surrounding roads, and the adjacent rooms). The rooms don't seem to be well enough insulated to prevent it, but if you leave the AC or fan on, you'll probably get used to it. I'd stay here again if I need to do a short turn-around near San Francisco again.
Room was average size, nice, new bath towels, there is a gas station right outside the office, but we stayed to the right size of the gas station, therefore we had no problem with noise. Carl's Jr. fast food restaurant right outside out doorstep, couple restaurants across the street and they all closed at 9:00. However, drive-in window opened much later. Trader Joe's is only two blocks away, train station is four blocks away, very convenient to get to downtown San Francisco.
I was traveling solo in Feb 2018, versus usually I am traveling with my wife. I needed a hotel near the airport on both the first night and final night of my one-week vacation in the SF Bay area. This turned out to be a pretty good choice. It's much cheaper than the bigger-name hotels closer to the airport, but this hotel is just a 15-minute ride to the airport. The motel facility is clean, the room was good and the TV was good. The second night I was there (different rooms each night), the bed felt saggy. The funny thing about this motor lodge is also a good thing. It is funny that the hotel is immediately adjacent to a gas station, with the parking areas being shared between motel and gas station. So if you need gas, it is only 50 feet away from the door to your room. But it is good that the hotel is adjacent to businesses -- stores and restaurants and strip malls --- giving you lots of convenience if you need cheap eats or provisions. You can even walk to a Costco store! And if you enjoy parking your car right next to the door of your room, this is the place. The rooms are not terribly noisy, with gas station next door, especially with doors and windows closed. This hotel is not a bad choice. It worked well for me as a solo traveler but I would not take my wife there ... she would be OK with the room but would probably not appreciate the oddities/ quirks that I found to be no problem at all.…
We needed a place near the airport, and all the "airport hotels" were either booked up or they were upwards of 325 $. We weren't sure what to expect about the area around So. San Francisco, but the price was much better and reviews not too bad. Once there, we found the general area very safe, and the hotel area itself is well lit up by the gas station nearby. Surprisingly little vehicle noise from the gas station and nearby road. The hotel is well run and well maintained. We found it clean, the carpet not bad. Very convenient location. The Wi-Fi worked just fine. Front deck person helpful and welcoming.
After a trans Atlantic flight this was a good place for the first night. Quaint motel. Very clean good sized room. Would stay here again. There's a petrol station right in front but it was very quiet. There are also a couple of fast food restaurants near plus a small food shop for essentials.
