We really loved the updated Lodge. Great check in and we were given an updated room. Nice wood floor, spacious, very comfortable bed. Two problems. The new bath/shower has a very wide rim and no hand rails. Difficult for anyone over 60 with joint issues. Wish they had modernized with a walk in shower. Second problem. The nice big HD...

We have often visited Sonoma in February and usually the weather is nice. This year it was a bit chillier than we've had but we still love The Lodge and the area. The Lodge was undergoing some renovations which was not really an issue except there was still a strong chemical smell (carpet, paint?) that made it difficult to sleep....

This hotel is an old Marriott property with "new" way of treating guests. As a Lifetime Platinum Premier member, I was greeted and treated in the manner that Mr. Marriott would be embarrassed for. Mike [--] deserves an employee of the month badge for complete lack of customer service mentality, going above and beyond to be disrespectful to the guests...

I travel often to the Sonoma and Napa area for wine education and every time I try to stay in different places depending on what area I'm visiting. We stayed at the The Lodge during New Years Eve several months ago. Please note: I'm writing this review before the renovation. The lodge was so lovely with a awesome design in...

This resort is gorgeous! The grounds, the rooms, especially the bathroom, was amazing. I can't say anything bad about this place. The picture is a view from room #244. I would recommend planning a visit! They have a beautiful spa but I wasn't able to enjoy it due to business meetings. Next time!!!

We overall enjoyed our stay, but I'd give them 4 stars instead of 3 if we hadn't experienced some of the following. We had to say no to several rooms because they looked over a concrete roof. Really ugly! An idea: put plants up there and create a green environment like they do on city roof tops to improve that...

The potential of this place just got greater. The design and comfort of the lobby is great! Old school comfort with a modern twist. Staff is gracious and professional. Location - 5 Sonoma is a small town and this hotel is just on the outskirts, literally just less than a mile away from the square. You can easily take a...

Our group booked 3 rooms 5 months in advance and were warned that remodeling would be occurring. Upon arrival we were relieved to see a nice looking place and a quite stunning lobby. As we checked in, we were told they did not have our reservation until the next day. We showed the guy at the desk emails acknowledging our...

My new wife and I stayed here as part of our honeymoon road trip and we both thought it was a really lovely place to relax. We wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the hospitality of the staff however had to move on to San Francisco. We would definitely stay again and in fact would prefer to stay...

This place was in a good location and the separate little cottage was designed well but it is so very in need of an update. New bedding, new blinds ( I would do some beautiful drapes instead of the blinds that did not even shut), new paint, new tile in the shower, get rid of the old carpet and new...
