The room would have been fine had it not been located on Hwy 101--car noise and train noise. There were no first floor rooms. No view, no air conditioning. I wouldn't stay again, because owners get the best units. It is not particularly close to the beach and only has a queen bed, though the room could take a king.... More

There is a very large condo complex across the street. The fact that they mislead really bugs me. I even called to confirm that they were across the street from the beach. See attached photo- if you enlarge it, look for the large blue sign. Sand Pebbles is one driveway from the sign- the walkway to the stairs to the... More

We had 2 couples(friends) share a vacation rental at Solana Beach half an hour from San Diego last Xmas @ The Sand Pebbles. It's much like a townhome,upstairs/downstairs with 2 bedrooms ,living room has a queen bed pull-out sofa(that's why it can sleep 6 or 7 people),a full stocked kitchen,a dining room etc and the whole week costed us very little(good... My understanding these were apartments at one time and have been completely renovated. I was very happy with my stay at this resort. It's quiet and staff is friendly and helpful. The grounds are well kept and maintained. Pool and spa are clean. Rooms have new tile floors in kitchen and bath areas. Kitchen counter tops are nice. All new... More

I have stayed at Sand Pebbles 5 times now over the years and have enjoyed my visit every time. It is a small, rather private, beautifully landscaped and impeccably maintained 2-story property spread out over several buildings which surround a central gated pool area. The complex doesn't have elevator access to the 2nd floor level so be sure to request... More

What an absolute gem - the accommodation was spacious, clean and comfortable and the location was perfect - short walk to the beach, some great bars and restaurants and easy stroll to Cedros Avenue. Great location to hit the road and see the local area but try to stay off the freeway and enjoy the coast routes

The Sand Pebbles property is located in a perfect location. Whether you want to walk on the beach, or go for a brew or head out for a meal; everything is located within walking distance. Even the Coaster and Amtrak Train station is within easy walking distance. I walked the beach every day, ate at several local eateries and enjoyed... More

This "resort" used to be an apartment complex and was converted to a timeshare-type property in the 70's. It's been maintained really well. The grounds are nicely kept and are clean. We had the grandchildren with us. We had 2 downstairs studio units next door to each other. (Studios sleep 2.) There are Murphy beds in the downstairs studios. (In... More

The condo I stayed in was an upstairs unit, although the AC was non existent, opening the windows up created a nice breeze and cooled the rooms off, but also by doing so makes it hard to sleep due to all of the noises of traffic from the freeway. Also, they advertise free wifi, and the signal appears strong, however... More

We were meeting four friends from Northern CA and needed a unit that could sleep 6. This was a timeshare exchange. After reading mixed reviews we decided to take a chance since it was the only thing we could find in RCI in Southern CA in April. We had all we needed but not sure I would return. The biggest...
