The setting is a 5, the room is a 2.5, the restaurant is a 5. Herrington's is a "rustic" lodge in a beautiful part of the Sierras. It is located right on the Yuba river, has it's own trout pond and easily has the best food within a 25 mile radius. Our room was clean, yet it was obvious it... More

We had a wonderful stay here. If you are looking for a rustic, peaceful place to unwind, this is it! Our room had a nice balcony and a view of the river. We drank wine, played cards, read, went on walks, ate great food and relaxed. The restaurant was fantastic for dinner and breakfast. They also have a nice bar... More

We stayed in a river room over the holiday earlier this month and just loved it. Left the sliding glass door open and feel asleep listening to the river. Wonderful! We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant which were both very good. Can't wait to go back!

Just like camping ... In a room. With views of a small waterfall and river this place was very sweet. Lots of hills to walk up and down. Nature and everything that goes along with camping for the weekend without having to set up any tents. The rooms are very old and quaint. Clean and well kept. The beds were... More

When you stay at Herrington's you have the river below and the mountains all around you. Be prepared to go without your phone and WiFi unless you have AT&T but that is a small price to pay for a nice room, bubbling stream sounds and a great little town.

This is a great location. My family and I stayed during the bike race. The restaurant was great. Dinner menu was good and chicken fried chicken with mash potatoes and gravy - awesome. The rooms are not great (wood paneling) but were clean. The trout pond in front was something to see. We would return to this lovely hotel in... More

The restaurant was so noisy that with five at our table each of us could only hear the person next to us. It was so unpleasant we didn't consider staying for dessert though some people had planned to. I thought I'd get the soup, salad and bread to have a lighter dinner. The lobster bisque was like eating a bowl... More

I really like this place... have been staying there with my in-laws for more than 10 years, and now coming to stay with my own kids. My daughter recently left a charger for her Kindle in one of the rooms, and the staff quickly located it, and are sending it back to us. I appreciate this kind of service from... More

Herrington's is an adequate place to stay. It is quite a walk up the highway from the town of Sierra City on highway 49. We stayed in a one bedroom kitchen unit which was clean. It was right on highway 49 so we did have some road noise. It was clean, with comfortable beds, silk flower arrangements, dark paneling on... More
