Not for everybody, but if you are looking for a basic, good value place to sleep, this is it. The rooms are very small, the fixtures and furnishings are old, but everything was clean and tidy. The staff is welcoming and friendly. It has an old-timey feel and the price can't be beat. The morning traffic on Shell Beach Road...

I can't believe some of the positive reviews of this hotel. We stayed here one night in early August and it was truly disgusting. The carpet was filthy and sticky. I kept my shoes on until I got into bed. The room hasn't been remodeled since the 1930s, everything is old and worn out. The bathroom tile was chipped and...

I have to say that this is an experience i don't wanna do over. In general California is expensive compared to almost any state what comes to Hotel/Motel prices. But this place is dangerous and i refer to earlier messages. It had a gas leak and we woke up pretty shaken. Yes the manager did what she was supposed to...

For about 2 years as a business traveler across the coast of California I have found the most welcoming Motel that I enjoy staying at. This is the Palamar. This is a resort area--high vacation area where prices fluctuate greatly. From 70 per night to in the the mid 200"s plus.. Due to my work schedule I stay here at...

As we were on a roadtrip, we looked for a place to sleep, not a 5* wellness hotel. We were surprised about how friendly the host was, which made us feel good and comfortable! The room was small, but cozy and clean (unfortunately not standard in other hotels of our trip)! The location was good, the host told us where...

I recently stayed one night here. Awesome place. Great hotel staff. We had a big room with Kitchen, microwave, and refrigerator. A big plus if you are traveling with small kids. Very close to Shell beach, Pismo beach is around couple of miles away. Near to restaurants. Love to stay here again.

We stayed for one night as we drove from San Francisco to OC. We based out decision to stay here on Trip Advisor reviews. For the money, it seemed to be the best rated option and we figured that since we really just needed a place to sleep, how bad could it be? I am convinced that a number of...

Great service of the staff, amazing location and very affordable. We had been in town for a family function and reached at like mid night but still the people were very friendly and the place was neat and tidy. Very close to the ocean so we did go for a morning walk by the ocean and my son had loads...
