This is an absolutely lovely hotel. I visited for two days on business and enjoyed my stay so much I plan to come back for a weekend break. Staff were charming even when flat out, the food at Fig was delicious, the gym was gorgeous, making full use of the California weather with an indoor-outdoor vibe, and there's a super...

I stayed over at Fairmont Miramar for a good week, and it was all very nice, albeit the decor was a bit shabby considering the price range. The location is nice, right next to the beach although you do need to access it through a walk-about bridge over the Pacific Coast Highway. The shops are some 5-10mins walk away, and...

Stayed for a conference and was well impressed with the facilities. Great views and a very convenient location to the beach and restaurants. The gym is excellent and the room was first class. Very spacious!

We toured from San Francisco down the coast to Santa Monica for our 20th wedding anniversary (with our two teenage boys). I booked the Fairmont on purpose as I have stayed at quite a few and am a President's Club member. - firstly; it is a really beautiful building (pool area, lobby, front foyer) - rooms are small for what...

I had a great stay at the Fairmont. I was able to utilize most of its facilities including the pool and spa. If you're staying at the hotel and cannot get a late checkout, they will give you access to the locker and spa facility. I found this very helpful for my late flight departure. Although everything is expected from...

Our family vacation was made even more delighful by hotel staff. Extremely helpful. Jordan at the front desk & Amber on the concierge desk went way beyond to make our stay & activities memorable. Those 2 ladies as well as the amazing property are the reason we would go back there in a hertbeat!

I last stayed at the Fairmont last September and had a very favorable experience.I can't imagine how this place changed so much in 10-11 months. In all fairness maybe it had to do with July being the busiest season in Santa Monica. Our room ,in the beach tower was very small, although we were upgraded to a lovely ocean view...

Hotel is past it's prime. We had an upgraded room that looked like a room at a Holiday Inn definitely not worth the $$$$ Everything was past it's age limit. Don't waste your money. There are better choices in the area.

Not the best and memorable stay as the Fairmont hotels claim to provide their guests. Rooms were not tidy, water bottles were not new bottles I believe, welcome note was addressed to someone else, very bad and unstable internet, location of suite room was noisy just next to the street...etc

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
