Hotel is past it's prime. We had an upgraded room that looked like a room at a Holiday Inn definitely not worth the $$$$ Everything was past it's age limit. Don't waste your money. There are better choices in the area.

Not the best and memorable stay as the Fairmont hotels claim to provide their guests. Rooms were not tidy, water bottles were not new bottles I believe, welcome note was addressed to someone else, very bad and unstable internet, location of suite room was noisy just next to the street...etc

I stayed at this hotel from June 7th to June 12th 2014 I had previously stayed at the hotel once before, during my break last year as well. The hotel is immaculate to say the least. Absolutely stunning. There are two buildings, one with an older style, not quite victorian, but dark wood look. The other is a more modern...

We were very pleased with our stay over July 4th weekend. Hotel was crowded but we enjoyed our ocean front upgrade. We were concerned about noise from The Bungalow but it was not an issue. Hotel grounds were lovely. Room was as well but bathroom was tiny. Appreciated the pool servers asking for id from young guests trying to order...

What an AMAZING experience! We were greeted by a fabulous staff with huge warm smiles at the valet and everyone was so helpful in showing us where to go. The check in counter was so sweet and provided my 2 small children with adorable stuffed animals. We then were led to the gorgeous room to find that the hotel had...

This hotel is a wondrous little place with many wonderful amenities. The breakfast served on the patio (or indoors of you prefer) was delicious. Order a full breakfast and you can skip lunch or order off there ala carte menu for a simple yet delicious meal. The service is fantastic. The setting luxurious and the staff more than helpful. Our first trip to Santa Monica and the Fairmont Miramar Hotel for our family. We initially booked a room in the Paradise suits but chose to upgrade to two separate rooms as there was only one bathroom in the suits which was not our preference. The Hotel Manager went out of his way to change our reservation to two rooms...

I just made another trip to this hotel for business. It is in a great location and the rooms are very nice. The problem was that I decided to upgrade to a nicer room 2 months ago. When I went to check in they did not have my room as they were oversold. I was given a standard room but...

This hotel was a big splurge for my boyfriend and I on our trip to LA. We were staying with friends all other nights, and wanted one special night. It really lived up to it's expectations. It was by far the highlight of our trip. We were even in sunny LA, and just wanted to hang out in robes in...

I love this hotel- it is a perfect blend of old and new Los Angeles, and has such beautiful views. The Fig restaurant is great for all meals; both the gym and the nearby spa are lovely . Location-wise, it can't be beat for exploring Santa Monica and beyond-we especially love renting bikes to ride along the beach trail. The...

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
