I always enjoy Hilton properties. I chose this location because it was less than a 15 minute walk to the pier. Coming from the Midwest, we wanted something Convenience so that we would not have to Uber everywhere. It was nice finding out that there was a shopping area, the promenade, just about five minutes from the hotel. I made shopping and getting things to eat very easy. The staff here were super friendly and helpful, everything from helping us get checked in early - to fulfilling any request we had. I understand housekeeping rules are different and they agreed to do a room every other day. We were there for three nights but with there being four girls we constantly needed extra towels and other amenities. The front desk was extremely accommodating and getting us everything we needed. I wish I remembered the one front desk lady’s name, but she was awesome. She found out it was my bachelorette party and congratulated me. Every time we passed by the desk she would ask us how everything was and if we were having a good time. All the staff encountered were great. The pool looks nice although we never got to use it, we decided to stick with the beach! Lol

Great friendly staff! My mom loved the room service and it’s a quick walk to the beach and dining! Historical park across the street which was very interesting. Very accessible Uber pickup and its a fast drive to Beverly Hills and fine dining.

I see that the hotel responds to reviews so I want to really be detailed here: I stayed at this hotel for one night after a longer LA trip in order to be closer to LAX and that was a good thing. I looked at the reviews here and it has a 4 rating, however, it is 23 of 38 Santa Monica hotels so I considered a more expensive and closer-to-the-beach/strip hotel, and wished I had done that, actually. It's not exactly as close as I imagined from the descriptions. First, on the plus side, it's your typical, nice, basic Hilton. Clean and standard for a Hilton; You know what to expect. Liked the kitchenette set up. The Valet was *outstanding* and lived up to the $42 price. Beds were comfortable. Well-appointed bathrooms. The small pool area looked clean and like people were enjoying it -- but there was not even one chair available at our check-in time and one never opened up, so we could not take advantage of this feature. The restaurant was expensive - I was willing to do it to catch a flight with my party, but really, you might want to consider getting a delivery from a local place or going out instead. It was about $35/person for coffee, juice and eggs/toast or yogurt. The servers didn't seem like they were too happy either; perhaps because I was there during an international event and it seems as if the tipping custom wasn't understood from what I heard from other diners ... Anyway, if I had researched this the night before, I would have ordered from Doordash/etc. My main concern is basically this - I understand prices are higher due to the location so I guess I was over-expecting the level of service. While I was there, I used the lobby restroom on our way to dinner, and a (hopefully clean) toilet actually overflowed without warning onto my feet! Luckily I was wearing waterproof sandals! I washed off in the sink and reported this to the front desk. The woman was much more concerned with the bathroom getting cleaned up than my dismay. She was all smiles and "thank you for telling me. Don't worry we will get it fixed up right away!!." Well to be perfectly frank, I didn't really care if you fixed it right away, I cared about a toilet overflowing onto my feet in this shocking incident. I said "ok wow, but I am just so stunned and luckily I have waterproof shoes" and she was all "oh lol don't worry we'll get it cleaned up!" - She obviously wasn't picking up on what I was putting down (my shock and displeasure) so not wanting to be "a Karen", I just left. When we came back some of my group wanted to buy a snack from the little lobby store, so I again told the woman that I was the one who had the toilet overflow onto my feet. She cheerfully informed me that "yes, it was all cleaned up and taken care of now!". Again, I just let it go at that point, but thought she'd at least offer to comp a water - or something - anything. So, overall, while it's a fine place to stay, the experience of the service can use an upgrade to keep in line with the pricing/expectations of a Hilton brand. Weeks have passed and I actually am still stunned at how little was done in the name of "customer service" because just a small, human touch in this scenario would have made a world of difference, especially in a high priced place in a resort town with so many other options to choose from. I checked out in person, too, thinking maybe I could relay this to someone new on shift, but no one asked me how my stay was so I didn't feel an "in" to bring it up. So, Trip Advisor reader, I think you'll be perfectly fine here if you choose this hotel, as long as you keep your expectations at a moderate level.

Hotel set up was very nice in the suite rooms. Rooms very nice, clean and beds were very comfortable. We read on previous reviews that there was a parking garage across the street. Since we didn’t need our car at all, we parked there and we saved a lot of money. Hotel was in a nice walk to the pier and main restaurant area. As we also read, breakfast credit does not cover the entire cost of breakfast. Breakfast was on the expensive side. Service at the hotel was very good.

My expectations on this hotel were high but it was a terrible disappointment. First of all the digital check in didn’t work. They said they had to swipe my credit card… strange because I have never had issue with any other Hilton hotels during this vacation… but I managed to choose the room and got a confirmation email saying it was ready already in the morning… not true as when we arrived the room was not yet available and they offered me an alternative on the third floor…. Which with my greatest disappointment had some air conditioner external unit just outside my windows that kept blowing for the entire duration of my stay… moreover the view was on the freeway… and the toilet flush kept running endlessly… Last thing no shower gel provided so bring your own!

It was absolutely awesome!! the staff are nice, the hotel is clean and cosy and located one block from 3th ave. When I arrived, I told the recipients that it is my spouse birthday. They upgraded my room to suite and send to delicacies cakes to our room. The breakfast was also great!!! I will defiantly will return to this hotel.

Beautiful hotel, clean and good location. Easy to access in & out. Valet was a gift....they treated me like I was a regular & I was a vip. Arrived really late & met the distinguished night audit! Great guy! Great staff all around, texting me about my room still waiting for me when on stressful travel delays. Starbucks in the morning..your Barista is amazing! Walked to the beach with my Starbucks coffee. Life is good! Way to rock it Hilton!

I selected this hotel based on positive reviews. Once we arrived, I learned why although 4 of 5 rating, it is currently #23 of 38 Santa Monica hotels on Trip Advisor. I have stayed at hotels in beach locations around the world, so my review is considering that costs in popular tourist areas are always higher and expected. On the positive, the staff was always friendly. The suite was a bit disappointing in the layout and costs, but is sufficient if you're looking for clean suite accomodations with modern decor. Also, be aware that food and parking costs for guests are high for this location. $42 per day plus taxes for parking. If you don't plan on much in and out parking, I would definitely say to park across the street. Room Review - we had a King Balcony suite on the 7th floor. It was the same as an Embassy Suites room layout with a living area that you walk directly into from the front door, a small bathroom and bedroom. The balcony is off the bedroom and is a small wedge - no seating - facing the parking garage across the street. You can see the ocean as a sliver over the garage. The room decor is nice, but the carpets need replacement soon. The layout of the bedroom was odd - the tv was almost perpendicular to the bed, at a weird angle, with no mount that allows for it to be viewed straight on. Not a big deal for us, but could be for some who like to watch tv in bed. There is space behind the bedroom door that could use the addition of hooks or other storage amenities, but it is dead space. Considering the space in the closet is limited, every opportunity to add places to store or hang clothes should be taken advantage of. The bathroom ceiling is shorter than the living and bedrooms and makes it feel very tight. The shower could use shower handles/controls on the back wall instead of under the shower head, since there is a stationary glass partition that makes it so you must stand directly under the shower head to turn it on. There is a mini fridge, but no microwave. which was disappointing, Service Review - On checkin the valet and checkin staff were friendly. As a Hilton Diamond member it is common to be offered/provided an upgrade, but I was not. In fairness, I did not ask for one. I did mention when calling the hotel before arriving that this trip was for my husand and my anniversary, but there was nothing provided or a personal touch for congratulations (bottle of champagne, note, etc) as at other locations. We did not use the pool but it looked clean and nicely appointed. We did not eat in the hotel restaurant or use the lobby bar. Both looked comfortable and inviting Value Review - Overpriced for what is provided. The WiFi is spotty and there seems to be a charge for premium, which we were allotted as a Diamond benefit, but it was still not reliable. If you have a hotspt, you will need it. As another Diamond benefit, we were alloted $36 per day ($18 per person) for food, but the food prices and charges were high for the type of hotel, and would barely cover one meal for one person. For example, a breakfast burrito is $24, coffee is $6, juiceis $5, chicken wings $21, cheesecake $15, etc.. We did get the short ribs on our first night, which were $36 and were fantastic! There is currently no room service between breakfast end and start of dinner at 5pm. The room service food is delivered in a paper bag - no cart. I would say to definitely bring some food for quick bites in your room or or use Door Dash, Grub Hub, etc. as an alternative for in room dining. There are also some great restaurants nearby with good seated service and competitive pricing. Location - a 3 or 4 block walk to the beach. Great if not carrying much beach gear. Overall the staff was friendly and that made the stay. The pricing is not competitive and the room was missing some amenities, which would have me pause before considering this location for a stay again.

Let me start by saying this is our 5th hotel across 5 cities in the states. We booked it as we wanted a luxury end to the trip. Yep the rooms are ok no different better or worse than any others in all 5 cities. The hotel it’s self same again. Pools quite good can get busy. Location is good. The Wi-Fi is dodgy and this is where it starts to let itself down. We checked in as you imagine 3 weeks across states quite a lot of luggage. Out of taxi assistance none at all. Not a worry I’m not old 56 and can manage but posh car pulled up 3 people & trolly straight out actually knocking past me. Went for breakfast 2 sides scrambled eggs & toast response is that it?? Charge $40 each 3 times in 4 days no creamer for coffee. 1st time 9.30 pm reception will send up now. 10.30’not arrived went to sleep. 2nd time phone reception puts me to restaurant who says you will have to come & collect it. Erm no can you send yes straight away. Nope didn’t arrive. 3rd time ask at reception explain what’s happened b4 he says will he will personally sort when we get back. 3 hours later nope not here. Go to reception who opens a cupboard and passes me 6 😂. Don’t get me wrong if you want staff to give you a smile and lip service this is the place otherwise please don’t waste your money as far better out there.
